5 months in Prague, living and growing - Czech/ Slovakia - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Hello everyone!
I have a friend that will be spending 5 months in Prague soon. She was looking for general guidelines regarding life there (she's a university student in her early-mid 20's), bars, things to do, etc.
How easy (or hard) is it to score some bud in Prague? Any things NOT to do/say (besides not looking like a tourist, but that won't be easy lol)? Places to avoid?
Also, she was looking to set up a small grow during her stay there, are there any growshops that are easy to find in the city? Or online growshops?
Last question, how is the cannabis situation in regards to the law? What if she gets arrested with a joint, for example, or if some police/authority stumps upon a small personal grow?
Any info you guys might have would be great, she's really excited about this trip but of course wants it to be as good as possible.

I have a very good mate of mine from college that works/lives in Prague, hes a big stoner and says that hash is much more prominent than buds but there are buds to be had. Where about is she going?

we have most marihuana smoking people in europe and it tells something...
its not really legal here, but if you dont have more that 15g, you will get just a fine and the same applies for up to living 5 plants, so small grow isnt big issue

fine in both cases can be up to 15000 CZK (circa 600 EUR), but probably much less or nothing at all

and you can buy some weed almost everywhere... usually its some skunk strain grown by vietnamese, which isnt flushed and causes headache... if you want good weed, try to get to some homegrown weed, which is usually of very high quality

street prices are about 200 CZK / 8 EUR for a gram or about 1500 CZK / 60 EUR for ten grams

the same pattern applies for most regions, towns and villages...

I don't know exactly where she will be staying in the city, but I think not too far from universities, if I remember correctly.
Berrea, I had heard of the 5 plant "tolerance" but wasn't sure if it was true, thanks for confirming!
Also, thanks for the growshop links, language shouldn't be a problem since she'll have to learn as soon as possible (and a translator helps too

There are several places in Prague that are basically nothing more than Amsterdam style coffee shops, where you just walk in and order weed from the bartender, sit down, roll up, and smoke on the premises. The names of most of them I wont give out as they are not really geared to the backpacker stoner tourist, but if you hang out long enough you will definitely find them.

do you have any more info on these coffee shops, as i will only stay a few days to attend the cannabizz hemp fair and it would be really nice to find such an establishment?
