LAS VEGAS -- Federal agents and Metro police Wednesday raided businesses around the Las Vegas valley that are associated with medical marijuana.
A joint task force with agents from the DEA, IRS, and Metro took evidence from The Happiness Consultants, THC at 810 E. Sahara on Wednesday. That business is licensed as a medical marijuana consultant business, which means they can help people apply for medical marijuana. The agents took out boxes of paperwork.
The clinics have been under scrutiny for months. Earlier this year, the 8 News NOW I-Team went undercover and staff member at THC told our photographer that a doctor on site would have no problem writing a recommendation for marijuana even though there was no medical justification.
Under Nevada law, there are no legal ways to actually buy or sell marijuana, even for medical purposes. Dispensaries are illegal. Those who need the drug for a medical condition must grow it themselves.
Police also raided Nature's Way at 1591 Desert Inn Road and the Salvation Haven-Cannabis Dispensary at 2255 Renaissance Dr.

Why do you think they did not make any arrests today?

Beats me. With the IRS involved they already know where they live. Did you notice they had federal warrants. Can't use the State defense that the constitution says they is to be a supply in the fed court system.

cops told workers at dispensary's that they where not in trouble even though they busted down doors and raided there places. They took all the medicine, paperwork, and computers. They plan on re-opening in a couple days. This where it gets fishy. A person here by the name of Dr. Reefer who everyone knows he will have nothing to do w/ meds in this state. He only helps people get there medical cards had all of his patients paper work seized. Seems like there after mmj patients information at this point. WTF is up w/ that.

so when these ppl assist someone in obtaining a med recomendation they keep paperwork on said person even if they dont buy from said place ???


FN figures when i thought i didnt have to worry, i'm still waiting on my 1 paper to get my state med id card, but i'm fully enrolled in the nv mmj program.

should i be really worried i'm sure i'll have a chopper above my home in the next few wks hittn me w/FLIR. reason for my asking is the consultant i used was one cought in the net yesterday. all he really done was make sure my paper work was filled out properly and in order then he reviewed my med records before refering me to a real DR a MD and retired nerosurgen.
