Dieselrella

After germ'n half my pack of Dieseldrella seeds, I found 1 suitable mother out of 2 females. (5 seeds remain)

This will be the last 4-6 weeks of Flowering for the Pheno I decided to keep. I only had the one plant.

What I didn't expect was the height. WOW. I thought for sure it would be about 4 feet maximum. Not so. This beautiful lady I have is standing about 6'5" tall! That is with topping and LST, though not much.

I have since gone back to soil, but this plant was grown in a 5 gallon bag filled with a mix of 65% Coco and 35% Hydroton.

She receives The AN Lucas formula, with Sweet, Big Bud, Overdrive (when the time comes), and Silica Blast.

Here are a few pics and I'll try to answer anything else I can along the way. There are 2 main colas with a 3rd out front. The 4th never really amounted to anything to special. I have had to tie down the tops as I can see the weight starting to pull. I Imagine this will be at least 10 weeks.

Hey DG, or anyone who can answer really! What ppm or EC did you max out at on this one? I'm feeding around a 1000-1100ppm or 2.1-2.2 EC and she still seems starving. I've never had to feed a plant too much higher than that. Any experience?

Looks good Chem&m, The NYCD side if the dieselrella sure stretches doesn't it. My NYCD leaning dieselrella couldn't handle heavy nutes at all. Every time i would feed over 1000ppm I'd get rams horn bad. Interesting yours like the nutes. What does she smell like?.

Perhaps bump it up in increments of 100ppm until you see slight leaf tip burn....but only slight.....then back down by 100....I found 1300 to be the sweet spot with these.

Perhaps you had a bit of lock going on? Strange, because Dieselrella thrives around 1300ppm at this stage of flower.

*Reminder....medium and various enviros, as well as skill, all plays a role in establishing the appropriate ppm for a specific variety.

Maybe i did have some sort of lock out, I didn't appear that way last run and my dieselrella #1 yielded very well for me but maybe it can do better ( im sure it can). DG I would deffer to your judgment on the usual needs of your varieties and this run ill try upping the ppms and seeing what happens

Thanks for the replies guys! I did have the Ram horns going on earlier, but I had fungus gnats and had to flush the entire medium. I'm around 1150ppm right now and with probably start working toward 1300.

This is a wonderful plant. When I run her next round though, I think I'll add some Bushmaster around the 4.5 foot mark. SO SO many trich's on the fan leaves and on the underside. Just wonderful stuff.

Here's some more guys. Today is the first day of week 6 flower, not counting transition week.

PPM is around 1250-1300 and loving it. The 2 tops colas are inches from the glass, but it's not too hot under there by my hand and it's cooled with fans/vents.

I plan on normal food this week, Overdrive week 7&8, and flush week 9-10.5. She really smells like fried chicken. Crazy!!

EDIT***** WRONG PICS ******** I'll update them in the next post.

On a much sadder note 0/5 on Mystic Gem. :(

I promised Dutchgrown I would update this, as I have been slacking on my posting lately. Too much work. (Not complaining. )

Anyway, the goods. Here she is after 8 weeks. The official height is 6ft 7 inches, and she is not even phased by 1300 PPM. Had to tie up some lower branches to get some light to them and the top cola's b/c of weight. These buds are larger than my forearm's. Based on my estimates and experience, I expect anywhere between 1/2 and 3/4 pound from her.

Pic's after 8 full weeks. 2-3 more scheduled for flush.

My light literally won't get any higher.

Sorry that took so long. Expect another update next Sunday. New camera then too.
