Any coach's or former coach's for young kids out there?
So have any of you been coach's or coach young ones maybe 10-12 year olds? I was really thinking of helping coach flag football this year but my cup has been overflowing college/work/planning funerals and getting things back in working order etc. Uncle buckeye did it when he was younger and said it was one of the best times of his life. I played baseball from 1st grade clear through high school, and football from 4th grade through high school so I feel I have the knowledge to help young ones. This summer I helped young ones learn to read at the library and their back to school and I already miss them, they taught me as much as I taught them. So chime in, even if you have never coached let's here some stories of your coaches and how just maybe things they said or did that has helped you in everyday life!

I only do it to pat the kids on the butt.
But seriously, I've had some of the best coaches in college sports. Bo Schembechler used to tell us "those who stay will be champions". He made it tough to stay. but I did get a Big 10 Championship ring. Never will forget that guy. |
