I check the "Cannabis Harvesting & Processing" forum fairly often to see whats going on in this thread and the Cob Curing thread, and anything new and interesting that might pop up. This thread has been stuck on 419 replies for a few days and I can't stand it any longer so here is post 420.

Does anyone do both methods? Cob and Freezer curing? I like to do both, end up with quite different products for more variety in effects, flavors, odors, etc.

Dude have you done a side by side, mylar vs plastic? Untill then stfu (sorry but it had a major influence on the quality of the product and your condescending reaction annoyed me)... I used plastic bags from the brand princess, a well known brand an no china crap.

I dont know if it was cuz of off gassing or whatever, but all the buds in plastic vac seal bags did not taste as they smelled, which was wonderful. Now that I use mylar my weed tastes normal again (like the smell).

I did side by side a few times so I am sure of what I am saying.

But I never keep my weed in the freezer without packaging, I dry or cure (depends) till a certain WOW point and then I freeze.

NEVER use food-safe plastic vacuum bags as they will fuck up the taste of the herb and ruin the experience!!!!! Use vac-seal mylar instead!!!!

Last paragraph, good tip.
Was just about to get a new roll of food safe plastic,
Recently had a pack sent to me
With the Vac seal mylar , worked real well.
Vac seal mylar for the win!

If I store long term I leave the bud on the branches
(Only remove non frosty fan leaves at harvest)
And keep in big plastic totes/boxes.
If it has a good seal it will stay fresh for month's.
(But you have to dry it first)

That is also how I do it, but when I have a lot I know for example that certain strains will be very good after 1-3 months and then I manicure and if needed let the buds air out a bit in a closed jar for 1-7 days so the smell become loud and then I freeze once they are super smooth and taste like the smell with good effect. Some strains can cure longer this way. I seal them and store them in vac seal mylar. I am now trimming some 3 months cured happy brother, white jones and amnesia(moppel cut). Smells are nice, buds are sticky and tasty and smooth. I get much nicer results then ith jars this way.

But yeah vac seal mylar rules, never using plastic again after multiple side by sides

Reeferman831 is on a distinguished road
So in my experience with drying buds ive done it a few different ways. I'm sure you may have heard many ppl say "oh just keep your temp at 65°f and like 50-60rh" what they dont tell you is how much and what sort of space you have. Ive used a 105 dehu and some shitty occilating fans in a 9×9 space w 9ft cielings. we AS A TEAM loaded that bitch with 5 rows with them spaced out so we could get like 5 or 6 lines in each row (now this is inside not outside carport status lol) filled that shit to the top and kept a log of temp and rh for HOWEVER LONG IT TAKES NO MORE NO LESS some ppl want to put a time limit on shit but you just have to pay close attention and the plant will love you. Rosenthal is correct snap the stem and hear it, your good. Curimg is a whole other thing. We never kept it long enough to 100% say its cured. gotta go for now id love to share more but I have beer to drink
Much love hope this was a fun read. Peace
