If you're reading this, you've noticed the individual state forums are now locked. Things are still in motion, I can't say what the final decision will be as to the form this forum takes but, FWIW I do NOT expect the individual states to open up again.

What happened? With the best intentions, IC created a creature it couldn't control. Given conflicting laws between states, between states and IC, and a lack of adequate supervision, the forums became the Wild, Wild, West. So much so that cleanup is no longer an option.

To correct the situation, The TOU has been revised. No matter the laws where you live, IC has one set of rules that apply to all. By downsizing, it is the hope of IC to regain a sense of community rather than become a collection of fractured fiefdoms.

I'm truly sorry it worked out this way but, here are our choices: We can lament the past or we can build a future. In the immortal words of Dear Abby (or was it Ann Landers)...

The best things happen to those who make the best out of what happens to them.

LOL...IC and OG are not even close. OG was the Wild West. 'Fractured fiefdoms' are just small portions of the greater 'community'.

Just take a moment to remember that we too put in the hours contributing and I assume not all the threads in the State forums deserve to be locked down.

Just a thought here.. Transfer them out here and delete those individual directories perhaps?

You're asking that over Twenty Five Thousand posts (25,000) be edited on a word for word basis. The threads may be locked to contributions but, you are still free to go in yourself to read or save as many as you like.

Thank you for the update on this issue FB. Take it easy, Im sure the best thing for the community will come from this. I would rather see those individual state forums closed down rather then IC closed down due to a beast thats too large and wild for governmental types.

You are going to have to edit them anyway right?

The reason for them to be locked down is there is inappropriate content?

I would assume that is why there is a problem. I would assume there would be an editing.

You guys are leaving the evidence in place?

I don't get the lock down if there will be no culling.
