first off im not a fan of the man.
hes a prick.

steriods or not.....
it still takes ALOT of skill to even HIT a homerun.
Alex had that skill coming up.
He just didnt have the power to KILL the ball.
so he, like 90% of the other players in the league in the 90s took roids.
he;s only singled out because of the HR records.

If someone like jeter whom hits singles all day long and took roids and started to double all day long.....no one would bat an eye.

Jeter hits tons of doubles, he hit two today, a single and a sweet bunt for a hit going 4 for 4.

congrats to A-Rod anyway, I agree it's a tainted record but true talent is what's doing it today for him.

A-Rod admitted and was punished for his small involvement in steroids. I watched his career from the minor leagues. He never took enough to change his physical appearance like Bonds did, and Everyone pretty much was taking them in that era. He is not taking them now and he is still doing what he has always done, hitting them over the fence. I have watched him play Many a game in person and I have seen him and his workout before the game. Some may put an asterisk by A-Rod when a small part of his career may be tainted, but there are some who's whole career is tainted. You look at A-Rod's record and from the very beginning, once he started playing a full season in the Majors, and you will see consistency, solid statistics, and awards. He was punished and taken out for his involvement in steroids in 2003.

Id say theres still a good amount of athletes still using steriods. Different types of steriods are being created everyday, and they can only be banned once the regulators find out what it is they are using. I kno for a fact that the majority of football players are taking the latest versions of prohormones that are not being tested for yet.

Small involvement ?.... I didnt rob a big bank ...just a little one. If you really want to defend him just go back and notice that when all these guys were taking these substances there was no rule against them in baseball. No rules were broken. Bonds set "the record" so he got the brunt of the punishment for everyone.
Ballplayers have been taking enhancement drugs since the beginning of baseball. Whatever was available they used. How is it any different then any other time. Babe Ruth drank before a game and thought it relaxed and helped him. Many people take meds that help them concentrate better for what they now call ADHD.... if they percieve that it helps them perform better how is that any diff then anyone taking anything whether you put the name "STEROID" on it or not.
Saying A-roid just took a little bit and not as much as the other guys is some how supposed to make it any different ? what a weak idea that is .

well im not gonna start on my personal feelings on the subject i aint the the time atm but have 2 add my 2c. im pissed i wasnt there when it happened but glad its overwith. now we can wup bostons ass next 4 games and continue our pace to win 28 as planned. i like arod now and now that hem can relax ur gonna see 601602603604605606 by the end of the next series. dont hate on the juice days pitchers did it to. its a very touchy subject and im not gettin into it. players 2day have everything to there advantage completely diff game..... everyone who hates arod only hates em cause hes on my team! and we gonna win the next 5 WSs! jeter got his own records! keep cryin whatever your team is it wont be n a class like the yankees in the next 20 years.
