Yumboldt x Burmese Kush with Pics, the Flower Cycle
I started these and saw "80 days" to finish, which made me a little nervous, but what the hell, these are two legendary parents. Here she is at day 5 of 12/12, she is being grown with Roots organics which I'm trying for first time, just burned em a bit after this pic, will make an occasional update on this one:

Been a while since I update this but here are some pics at day 91, I'm guessing 10 to 20 more days. The last one pic'd has the best smell, very hazy, the other two have some fruity smell mixed in with what I've known as a haze smell. Too long in flower for me to do again but getting close to harvest and I love sativa and it's hard for me to see any signs of yumboldt. It's been a 1/4 of a year in flower mode now, have had other disasterous plant issues, really been a test of my patience. But, I'm about 10 to 20 daze away from what looks like an extremely electric buzz, can't wait!
I also read a post by another grower about what monsters these girls are. Thats the truth. I started these so small wishing I had more time to veg them, so glad I didn't wait another day at this point, as tall as I can handle in my spot. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I am growing the straight Burmeses kush freebies. mine look very similar to yours, and will post some photos next week.
I am now at 61 day flower and I expect that they need at least another 4 weeks or so to go. This is the run down of the Burmese kush strain Burmese Kush F2 Freebies The company that originally released these seeds stated that they were 7.5-8 weeks flowering time. This is not the case. I had females still stretching at 11-12 and up to 15 weeks. I used a early flowering male in hopes of bringing the flowering time down. Expect 12-15 weeks minimum flowering time. It is recommended to go straight into the 12-12 flowering cycle with these monsters. Jim thats a marvellous yield you will get. I do hope that mine will fill out into as much. |

Just wanted to follow up on this one. They logest one went to day 115. In the end I give it a 1.5/10 for finale rating. Buds are very airy, I see no signs of any Yumboldt influence, and if that is what added the few crystals that were there I'd have to say potency wise weakest strain I've seen since 1998 random seeds I started.
Flavor is amost non-existent. One of three was had a mild "haze" type taste (Similar to some pure hazes I've tried on vacation once), the other two really had jsut about no flavor and smell like hay or dried grass. Medically wise it I don't see the connection. If someone wants very mild in the head only medicine this would be for them, but you'd have to smoke three to six times as much of this to get the same effect as just one hit of a strong haze based strain. With the extra hits you'd just get more of the bad side effects. I guess that's why a lot of us vaporize too, or eat the product. It just seems to get the effect you'd have to take in a lot more of the bad non-active parts. One of the four plants had almost no crystal and we tossed it. Another had such little bud structure we made the whole plant into hash. It had enough crystal to make hash, but really I'd say about 20% of what I've seen on other sativa based strains I've grown. Structure wise and size wise it got big, real big for it's starting size. But it took a long time and buds were very airy and stemmy and no patient at even below Mexican prices was interested in using it for a price. I gave all patients generous freebie jars of it to get rid of it, so everyone was happy. Patients felt it worked with more dosage, but was very mild and wore off quickly. I liked it a bit for this reason, when it wears off you feel like you haven't used it. I also have some YummyD seeds. I hate writing a bad review but just telling it like it was from my perspective. I felt like maybe this was authentic, or something I'd find growing in the wild of South East Asia, and as grower always enjoy the experience of watching a new plant grow and develop. The "1.5/10" is for that, maybe being authentic and unique in growth and flowering. The "-8.5" is for flowering time, lack of density, lack of crystal, lack of flavor. And for lack of "Medicial Properites". My first experience with AnnaC, and with patients I hate rolling the dice on strains as much as I do because it sucks when they count on you and you have product that comes out this bad from the patient's eye. And it takes a lot of space and time, not good for meeting medical needs. I hoped for something of Medicinal quality, comes with the name I guess, "Anna C Medical". I found my experience more "Experimental" than "Medical", a bit more "Worldly" perhaps, like something I'd expect from a landrace asian strain such as in the GN collection. I respect the efforts of AnnaC all the same and hope things go better down the road when I see the YummyD sprout up, and hate to once again write a bad review.

Ya know, I take that back. It would have been better to say, I am disappointed in the flowering time mix up. It's taken up some space for a while, but I wouldn't have grown it otherwise, and now it'll be a treat. Pic at 13 full weeks and flushing for another 2...

I have some of the Burness x yummyD I havent strated them just for that reason. I talked to Annac and he said that he was miss led on the flowering time too. It says that the Burness is like 8-9 wks and his went like 15. Maybe someone will get a good mom from them.
I just dont have the room for a 6 fot tree lol (wish i did). To eveyine reading this , dont let this one strain stop you from buying his beans, if you look at his strain line , he does have some good ones. Peace

Those plants may be better suited for the great outdoors. They look great. You my just need to put them in the ground.
