Just wonderin if anyone has ever visited this part of the world. At the moment a good friend is on a 3 month holiday in Mauritius and is visiting La Reunion and I was wonderin if anyone knows if the smoke in that part of the world is any good. The reason I ask is because I am going to ask him to mail as many seeds to me as possible and would like to if any strains stand out from around there. Any info would be realy appreciated...

try and find some mango-carrot zamal from LaReunion.

Good ass landrace sativa. Originaly from madagascar. brought over on slave ships and inbred by local families for 200 years. Arguably the best sativa high there is.

....I have travelled extensively around Madagascar and La Reunioun......and the Zamal was always prevelent in most places around those parts......its a nice tropical sativa......

thanks FA and Gypsy... zamal huh? did a little reading on it and it looks like I might be in for a little fun when he gets back, he's actually mauritian so he most likely wont have any trouble finding it. Not sure, the flower time might be a little bit of a problem but here in Aus the weather aint that bad plus I could pollinate it with maybe some c99 to hopefully bring down the flower time without losing much of the trippy effects... oh well, time will tell...

A good friend of mine was in Maritius in Dec 2004. He was not doing the tourist thing but living with a tuna fisherman and helping him fish every day. He claimed that there was a large rastafari presence on the island. He smoked some good weed that was seeded that he compared to good aussie bush and it was much much better than brazilian strains he had been smokung for the year previosly.
