Without a doubt, Train Wreck is amongst the strongest and most superior cannabis on the planet. This can be a difficult strain to grow and it does not yield very well. So why do it? Take a look at this bud just cut at 42 days. Yes, it's that fast. We use loose soil(less)mix, fish emulsion in veg and Tiger Bloom in flower under a 1,000 W HPS. This stuff tastes like a lemony mentholated dead whale. It's a creeper high that can send you screaming to the mountains with it's intensity and sometime paranoia. It's also the best pain killer I know of.

I ran "Train Wreck" on the strain guide at OG and the only result is a cross: "S.A.G.E X L.A. Trainwreck" from Irish Rose Seeds.

I'll never have access to a TW clone. How about a breeding project to get some seeds for the rest of us poor unfortunates.

This is only an idea at this stage, yet perhaps it is worthy of thought and discussion. I think the idea is at least worthy of a thread. Who knows what could be the result. There is a wealth of knowledge here and many willing participants. It could result in a global breeding program. Just a thought, but, think about it.

My flower room is full as of now with Mother's Finest, Hindu Kush and Apolo's Trip. I've got seedlings of GN C99, LSD and more AT.

I'd like to grow and sample as many SUPURBE stains of marijuana as I can. TW fascinates me.

Ive seen TW beans about, but they all have some cross in um. the clone is the one to get. but ya have to know someone.

Wow, thanks for the replies. We cut a couple of girls yesterday and both wifey and I had black fingers and an all day buzz without smoking a thing.

We often exagerate some strains (at least I tend to when I grow them. LOL) but this Train Wreck really is the bomb.

I hear as of yesterday that there is good news and bad news from Humboldt (the home of Wreck since the early 80's).

The good news is that there are now Train Wreck seeds although not commercially available.

The bad news is that this 42 day wonder becomes a 9 month flower monster when grown from seed. Train Wreck is one of those strains whose flowering is controlled by time from germination. That means you can get fast results from clones from a mature mother but from seed it flowers (like Haze) forever.

That's why there are so many TW crosses BUT NONE of them come close to the real Wreck including our Alibi (TRC's Texas Mystic). Heck, I smoked some Alibi last night and it's delightful but if Wreck is 21% THC (and it is) then Alibi comes in at about 8%

So what to do? Well, the 3rd Floor in Oakland has TW clones (make sure to dip them in Neem oil) and that's the way to go.

Will folks continue to cross the Wreck? Yes. Despite the old timers saying no cross will be close to Wreck I think that eventually one will come out. So far the crosses have been with weak strains like SWT#4 or Big Bud. I'd cross it with G-13 and/or Black Domina.
