ontario grow. white widow

I've been on here for a bit reading up, learning tricks, and i thought i would post pics of my plant. i started with 4 plants and quickly learned that the coons in the area were hungry for my plants so now I'm down to the one. the strain is white widow feminized.

I'm growing in a marshland area next to a corn field. i used tires to raise my plant above the water level. I choose to plant it in a spot that doesn't get a ton of light so that it is better hidden. I painted the tires camo to hide them from any possible sightings. I have the lower part of the plant wrapped with chicken wire, and supporting the middle with a tomato wire brace. Since the plant is in a wet location i have to deal with slugs and other insects, i am using a organic slug bait and a organic pesticide that i can use up to harvest.

I had a small tornado like storm pass by and break one of my main branch's off so now 1/3 of the side is gone... it is just starting to show signs of sex which i already new since it was a feminized. its hard to tell but the plant is nearly 5ft now.

im feeding it GH grow, micro, bloom along with superthrive, koolbloom (when its time), i ran out of liquid karma but it was used too, and lastly since it has been stressed i gave it a dose of zone to help the root system......

i had the plants growing on my balcony before planting and i used a foiler spray with dutch master penetrate and reverse, i had to use the reverse cause the lights were causing it to herm on me, and i know people call it snake oil but the reverse does work, i have not seen any balls since spraying it

first off my camera had no batteries so sadly all i had was my blackberry, so excuse the pics, the plant is now almost 7ft and at least 5ft around, im 6'5" and i cant reach around the plant and its taller then me

for a perspective look at the tree from the original pictures to this one... the plant was around 5ft in the first set of pictures

in picture #2 u can see the yellow string i used to support the plant, i tied three of the branch's to the large tree to the right of it. the plant was slowly going to be to top heavy already so i tied them with a large loop to stop them from falling over....

two weeks ago i gave it a slow release fert for bloom, so last night i only feed it molasses, superthrive, and koolbloom, and some left over zone. in two weeks ill add some more fert.

for my 9.2L jug(2.4 Gallons)
-koolbloom 9ml
-superthrive 2.5ml
-zone 5ml

new update

another update: :jump:

So I went and looked at the plant this week, gave it the last dose of bloom fert, and another dose of molasses, zone, super thrive, koolbloom. I will give it more molasses and koolbloom but i will be ending the other ingredients the next watering.

To control bud growth I have been cutting small popcorn bud sites off during each visit. I carry a spray bottle of organic insecticide and some organic mold protection, the white widow didn't need the mold remover but its also used to prevent powder mildew and i wont be visiting it for a while and its a damp area. I found more signs of slugs so I used the insecticide, I wont be using them again to keep the bud clean. other than that the plant looks 100%. My friend thinks I can get a 1/2 pound from the plant, what do you think?... this is my largest plant ever so I dont know lol:jump:

Cool idea for raising the ground up, the camo is well done, until I went back to read the top I thought you were using a transparent plant pot! Beautiful lady you've got there, keep up the great work!

I hated carrying the tires out with the soil but i think its work it, i dug a 1' x 1' hole, lined it with garbage bags leaving a hole in the bottom for a drainage and then filled it with peatmoss, perlite, and a handfull of dolomite lime. i filled the tires with a potting soil with alot of perlite and some blood and bone meal....

but i had to plants but early on racoons ate the second one.... i learned fast how to keep them away

Nice looking tree - very well done. Resist the temptation to harvest early. I know the next three to four weeks will be pins and needles - but still. Resistance is NOT futile. :)

Hello niggle!
This is a nice tree man :D
Hard to say that early, but yes you'll probably get *at least* half a pound of white stuff!
White widow should be a great producer, I'm also growing it and it's flowering nicely.

Keep us updated!
Peace :rasta:

hey there niggle.

I'm growing WW in southern ontario as well. MY plants arent nearly as monsterous as yours, but looking like they are close if not slightly behind yours in the flowering stage. Yours also looks like its got more indica in it then mine . Your fan leaves look fatter (could be because I got my fem seeds from nirvana).

This is my first outdoor grow in years. ...and my preivous grow got ripped before I could even reap the benefits. Just wondering if you have an estimated date of harvest for this year around these parts.

Good luck and thanks

to be honest i cheated by vegging and lst the plant for 2 months before it went out. i think that has alot to with the bushiness. i might be ahead of you in flowering just becuase my plant might not get as much light so is finishing earlier.... i was hopping to harvest around the 15-20th of october... but it all depends on the plant..

ps dont mention rippers near me lol rippers are my biggest fear :(

Very nice looking, I wish I had the ability to do a large outdoor run.

I am only growing the one plant cause i cant have alot on me, and i dont have the time or money for a larger setup, but 2months, a 5gal bucket and patience is all it took to get this plant out....
