a buddy of mine grew this back in 04 or 05...
was not impressed.... he ended up crossing it with a bunch of other stuff he was running at the time. needless to say he still has all of his Royal Orange x Whatever seeds. he didn't wanna grow them after smoking the finished product... just my

Even though I read some bad reports (and I admit I didn't know about the sensi seed takeover) so I gave these seeds a try. Together with 50 more seeds that sprouted healthy and fast.... the DRO, were the last to sprout, very slow beginning, an 3 mutants on 5 seeds.
Seems a lot the last batch of california indica from sensi. A total faliure. my 2 eurocents

never grown it but have smoked it and the orange taste was very nice

I popped the remaining beans of mine just to piss my self off again can't wait to see what I get only 8 plants worked out lots of mutants and some never even got there true leaves to form stayed a seedling and never had real leaves for 2 weeks....Think I popped 15 more beans of it could have been 20 quite a few did not germ. I will tell you guys if anything above garbage comes out of them this time.

Of all the ones I have tried, only one female out of 2 packs of the Nirvana California orange bud was a keeper! A skunk with many orange hairs nice smell and Christmas tree phenotype.

i can remember back in the days orange bud was the standard day in day out smoke in our area...maybe 10- 13years back...the true smokers told me every time that california orange is the only true orange and orange bud is just a fake skunk copy..i can remember the orange bud was like lemon ice cream in taste and herbal lemon little orange in smell......but the california orange was like real super juice sweet oily oranges with dark brown thick numerous pistils full of resin like a brown pistil carpet in the heart of the bud if you break it in two parts real sweet stuff....lol i think i have not seen both strains now for like 7 years or so.....ah good old days we were blessed with that stuff from the dutch commercial growers back in the days...
