Does my Plastic get good Light Penetration?

I just built a 8' x 16' half - hoop house and I used 4 mil plastic sheeting from home depot from the paint section. the clear-ish plastic drop cloth. it comes in a 10' x 25' roll... anyway
I have some Mandala # 1 , greenhouse's A.M.S. , White Label's white skunk, a few Sour diesel x OG kush from JLP, and some sam skunkman's thai haze x skunk # 1 . And a few bagseeds.

I planted around June 1 and all the ones I kept are doing great. I just put them in the green house, and It looks as if the light isnt penetrating the plastic as well as if they were just out in the sun. Am I losing alot of light by having them in a greenhouse using that 4-mil plastic sheeting? I have it well ventilated with 2 24-inch box fans, heat isnt a problem, but I feel like the plastic is almost casting a shadow rather than letting alot of light through.. does anyone know what I mean?

My question is how much light - power is lost by using this type of plastic and what are some better alternatives within a similar price range?

Arrow 6mil

This is 6mil plastic sheeting, seems to be working for me!

I don't think I'm loosing too much light.

Peace

thank you ^

no one else knows about this? at this point the plants seem to be doing fine but I wonder if the plastic is hindering their progress at all?

Iron Lion -

the SD x OGK... hm. i think it was a couple years back JLP made the cross and the first hundred or maybe thousand people to PM him with an address would recieve a pack of them in the mail... and I happen to get a pack. I wasnt able to grow them for a couple years, so I gave a few to a friend and this year I tried to germ the last 3 i held on to. 1 didnt pop, but 2 did. of those 2, 1 was a beautiful hardy male :( and the other one is the only plant i have that hasnt shown sex yet. Its a somewhat strange looking plant, defintely healthy, has the darkest waxiest leaves of the crop, but it has no preflowers yet! the rest are atleast a week or 2 into flower and have big obvious female preflowers... im praying its a female because I would love to smoke this strain.

By the way, any input on my question about the plastic?

4ml I've seen being used, as it gets sunny its rolled up, also layer when the plants are full grown, my concern is the new type of plastic that come in shade of green, plants can't see green ..???

so is the green shading the plant ..does the green stuff reduce light transmission to the plants ..

and sure 6ml plastic is more shady than 4 ml plastic sheeting, by 50%
