Calcium chloride

hiya just wondering if anyone has ever used this in a greenhouse or polytunnel instead of a dehumidifier any thoughts on it more than welcome..and yes all vents and doors are openthanx .

i have never used it but i would like to hear what you know about it...it absorbs humidity right? what form does it have? sorry if questions are lame...ist it cheap? hehe

....Calcium chloride is a water soluble salt which can be used in conjunction with sodium silicate to form hard, insoluble calcium silicate crystals,........ dont know a lot about it myself hence the question.. but yeah its very cheap and seems very handy for people who cant have dehumidifiers running and no noise as extra bonus think the experts are gonna need to answer this one many thanks FIREofKALI.

maybe if the greenhouse is tiny.otherwise a waste of cash. i have used it in classic cars and a mobilehome when i lived back east where its humid.
