My Favourite Artist(s)...
Who is your favourite artist? Why do you like their work?
Some of my favourite Artists include Leonardo (Windsor Collection; Horses and Leda, sketches of) for the realism and difficulty involved in such observational drawings,, and Durer the German Master. I also enjoy the more modernist works by Gustave Courbet (Stone-breakers) as a statement against the apparatus. The flora pastiche of William Morris, the Romanticism of the Pre Raphaelites and their movement against modernism,, Deschamps for taking the piss (the Urinal by R. Van Gogh has been one of my favorites since I was a little kid. Alex grey (A lot of art for the band TOOL) is probly my fav. atm. https://www.alexgrey.com/ Good thread idea. Peace and *bong* everyone

 "Self portrait" From the picture novel "Soft City" "Manhattan"  "Shanti-Devi"  "Oblidor"  I just like it because i see much of the same world as he does i guess, plus he has a crazy life story. The artist himself is as interesting as his art at least. |

You All missed the cleverest Artist of all time,In my opinion has to be Lowry,Pure Brilliance man was a Genius,i have a big lowry original water colour paid a pound for it but thats not why hes the best i bought the picture because how unbelievable is that
