Purple Paki question....

Just received my order from the boo. Got some purple paki finally as well as some fem sandstorm. I was wondering if the PCK tends to color more in soil, soiless or hydro? I grow indoors in my DR80 tent. Also which medium tends to yield the most? Any input is greatly appreciated. Keep up the great work ACE.

Baltazhar is on a distinguished road
Hi

If you want more colours , try to lower the temperature of your grow room.

Hello actech,

Pakistan chitral is more colorful when grown indoors in soil, organically and slighty low temps, but Baltazhar is right, you'll get better yield in coco or hydro. Best wishes and thanks for support our work.

It's been my experience that purple colored buds are as much temp influenced as genetic. Some strains I guess could be an exception. I'm mostly an outdoor grower and I can tell you that if the roots, or at least some of the roots get below 55 degrees about 90%-95% of strains will turn purple. If you want purple colored buds just put a plant in the fridge a few days in a row during the dark phase. It'd be just like a plant outdoors in october when a cold front comes thru. The cold temp won't hurt the plant as long as you don't freeze it, of course. Do it like two weeks before it finishes but only for 3-4 "nights" and it'll turn purp.
I gotta tell you though the reason plants turn purp when exposed to cool temps is because MJ can't absord phosphorus thru the roots when the medium or roots drops below 55 degrees. So prolonged exposure to cold temps can create a phosphorus deficieny even when your medium has plenty of phosphorus.
There's pics of purple buds in my 2009 album. I harvested in September and had no purple, but I left a few buds a couple extra weeks and thru a little cold spell and presto purple buds on all 5 strains.

Well I had issues with my two PCK females in my last grow. Lost them both. I have two Sandstorms going now that look identical to my PCK girls. I did have a beautiful PCK male make it that was very colorful. Going to hit my two SS girls with that pollen and see what happens. Gonna throw that pollen onto a few other girls I got goin. Blue Dream, Moscas C99 bx1, dj's blueberry, and a double strawberry diesel from rez
