so,
here i go. yeah yeah, another Krusty bucket thread. i see there are alot around here latley. well, add this one to the list.

this is my room. not exactly the perfect KBS room, but i will make it work.

as you can see, it will be an inline KBS. i can hear K moaning already!LMFAO

the breakdown
room is 11' long, 8'4" tall, and only 3'8" wide (ouch!).
1800watts, (2) 400w HPS on the outside, and a 1000w hortilux HPS in the middle.

got my chiller, delta star 1/4 hp model.
got my CO2 tank, regulator, and drip feed lines.
got a 12,000 btu window mount A/C
got a fogger, but it is too damn loud to use in my situation.(still need to figure out somethin)
got the thomas extreme air compressor, with soaker hose.
got (3) 55g drums to use as my active and passive res's(if need be).
got the buckets all drilled and lava rock waiting.
got all drainage thru hull fitting 3/4" and hose.

at this point my only concearn if RH, humidity! i have a fogger but, that thing is like a plane taking off in my garage! so i will have to come up with something else. i see K has some type of clear dome over clones, i will give that a try and see what happens.

heres to another KBS thread

thanks BH, i will be using the garage in the future, but for now i will utilize this space. it is like a closet, but in my garage. i figure i can get a nice harvest from this space. maybe not the 2.5lb per 1000w, but at least something for me to smoke, and some xtra cash to get the garage ready!

lmao

moaning.....ya bastard

hey dewd its the space you got...so work it....i just think it would be funny watching yer ass crawl arround on yer hands n knees once these puppies get large cause you aint going to have ANY room...

dewd...these ghetto domes i got going are sweet.....they fully keep humdity up..and if you got co2 happening then plumb the co2 directly into each dome...it works better then a fogger i hate to admit...and once they get large enough to out grow the domes then at that point they might be providing enough humdity or at least theyw ill be large enough to not be so effected by the low humdity....but it does work

you got everything else i think a person would need...ya i wished you were in at least a 6 foot wide space.....but i bet YOu wish it even more

good luck dewd...i still think with the some care and a half decent strain you will end up with 3-4 lbs a crop even with the small widths..cause the rest of the system seems to be sweet

good luck mon

peace

i would be happerier than a monkey that found a bananna tree, if i get 3-4lbs out of this room.

yeah, i will crawling around on my hands and knees to get to the middle when the buds need to be tied up.LMFAO!

maybe one or two runs in here, then i will be using my garage! a good 11' wide, and 16' long with 8'4" ceilings. that is more along the lines of a true KBS. i just have to find a place for all the stuff in there right now!

ghetto domes! i like the idea, and i will be putting them to use. just need to fab some up. was thinking about useing some clear cling wrap or clear garbage bags. cause i aint got any new comforter bags.

K, i remember you saying you tested some lava rock for PH rise and found that one kind, out of 4 or 5, raised the PH. would you share wich one/kind/color it was that did such a thing? oh yeah #1

#2 CO2 directly into the domes, what should i set the timer and regulator to? seems like it could get into very high concentrations, wouldn't want to kill my babies.

thanks for the input

got my A/C installed. it doesn't have a digital thermostat, so i am going to hook it up to the contactor. so that it comes on with the lights.

gonna take some experimenting to get the temps right.

the ac's fan blows constantly. but the compressor cycles on and off. there is a control knob that dictates how often the compressor comes off and on. so this is where experimenting will come into play.

i have read that 85 degrees is good for plants with CO2. this will be my target temp when lights are on.

next is chicken wire on the ceiling, but i need a staple gun. homedepot here i come, again! where is my HD shopping list, damn. i know there is something else i needed.

just a lil comment, feel free to ignore, but wouldnt you be better with vertical reflectors on 2 of the lights (just leave the centre one bare)

verticle reflectors? like regular/horizontal reflector, except hung verticle?

that would be too much weight on the cord. as it is now, the bulb and socket are of minimal weight. i would have to rig up something to hold the reflector up. more work, that i dont really need. nor want to do.

besides, the walls i used are white. basicly the best reflective color there is. IMO. and no hot spots, that are commom with reflectors.

ken - heyas dewd...ltns dewd..miss tlakign to as:P

but ya ken reflectors are fucked up...see they reflect the shit out of the heat from the bulb....so yes they might reflect a wee bit of light...but they reflect ALL the heat right into plants...its like radient heat..

you ever see those heaters for your house with the big reflector on them??? its the same idea with the bulbs...you want the light NOT the heat.....keep the reflectors off and let the heat form the light go up to the cieling away form the plants

FS 1. hmmm....FS i think the kinda i was lookign ofr was the tpye that DIDNT raise the PH up too high....wierd..so you have water that is lowering yer ph too much?? fuck that must be nice

take a look in my gallery and you wills ee the shit ...or here i iwll psot a pix of the lava rock....i think a picture is werth a thousand words..c.ause i dont knwo hwo to describe the lava rock so that oyu understand :/

2. FS if the domes were perfeclty sealed it might be a problem....remeber they can handle i think it is up to 3,000 PPM without harm...

i will be honest FS..i have not taking a measurement inside them units yet...hell i havent even injected co2 inot the ghetto domes yet....so if you can take one of them break away testers and test the air in there i bet yer the first to do so:/

i would be curious as to how high it does get in there....but i would bet unless you really really dumped alot of co2 in there it will nto reach 3,000 ppm....if oyu keep the flow at yer normal rate and yer normal rate is say 1000 ppm i bet it iwll reach 2,000 ppm in there..BUT this is only a guess dewd....you truely are fucking with something new with these domes:P

peace

krusty

ps - i like yer remark FS....ultra flat white paint...is the best...it makes yer room GLOW...where as mylar and other reflective shit tends to burn areas of plants and espeically the buds....ibuds are sensitive..and with the glow action happening it grows very sweet and stuff...but with mylar there is uneven growth and alot of times i find over mature areas.....but i am happy your at that point/level of growwing eyr seeing the advatages of ultra flat white paint

flat white paint

you can feel the differance when entering the room. white paint vs. mylar.

i beleive that the white reflects light good, but kinda like absorbs the heat. eeehhh, i am not explaining it right. i dunno, it just seems cooler with flat white instead of mylar in the room.

had a long discussion with a few buddies that wanted to put the silver side of the foamboard out, but i straightened their ass right out.

about the lava rocks
i was just curious to know what kind( lava rock) did indeed raise the ph, so that i do not get that kind. if i confused ya, i do that to people sometimes. kant really type want i think sometimes.

K, what is at the bottom of that baby in the pic? kinda weird lookin, like bunch of cut off branches or some shit.

anyways
