I was lucky enough to get a freebie 5 pack of what I think is Dinafem Fruity Automatic from a recent order from Seedboo! I already had been working on Blue Streak since last year which was my first AF grow and was lucky to produce around 100 good seeds! Now I hope to pollinate the Fruity Auto's with Blue Streak pollen as well as some BSxBS to improve upon as it is the only stock of AF's I have. The 4 Fruity Auto's that are still growing look fine and are ahead of the Blue Streaks but I germinated 30 BS seeds I created last year and they ALL are coming up! Last test I did had some variation in the BS so I started lots more than I plan on finishing in an attempt to isolate the best ones etc. Pics tomorrow of the progress but I have them under a 400MH with PL reflector with a brand new full spectrum bulb! My first AF grows were under fluoros because I wasa little skeptical but now I ain't fucking around and am using HID! Growing some White Label DOuble Gum also in the background which I ordered and got the freebie Fruity Autos with but these White Labels are not as good as they boast! Then again it could be and I just have not had luck yet! Air circ is good and the walls are white! My only concern is container size as my first few AF grows were all in 1 gallon or less. The Fruity Autos are in 1 gallon square pots. The BS will be moved to larger pots as they start to perform to aviod extra work and because I am making seed this time around but the others will go outside in my secret spot! Several Male phenos show up and I recommend going with a few different ones or mixing the pollen for best results! Using a single male will quickly lead to inbreeding depression! That's the main reason I am mixing the Fruity Auto with BS. Thanks Seedboo! Hope to get Sour 60 and a few others later on. Might also make FEM. seed soon as well.

Did you try and clone the BS at all? and if you did,how was it?

No not the usual cloning method. I just made seeds from the males and females using artificial selection basically but soon when I get some more stable results I plan to tissue culture a nice female! But hte seeds I made are very hardy and germinate really well. I recommend starting them in cups, either styro or Solo plastic with NO drainage holes for 24-48 hrs then punch some holes and make sure the irrigation runs thru! Otherwise it's soak, germinate in small pot then x-plant etc which causes stunting and shock- unwanted stress. The smoke is decent and I can't complain. Worth keeping around and improving!

Sorry t is taking time for the pics but at least 14 nice looking BLue Streaks are sprouted and 3 Fruity Autos are in larger pots less than a foot away from a 400 MH growing fast! 8 of 10 Double Gums also sprouted and hopefully i can grow some clones of one this fall as my seeds ripen and cure before testing. I really like the smoke and taste of the bubblegum family of plants and was hoping to make an AF version. Might require a lot of work but as long as I get some smoke to enjoy from my failures...

Alright here are some early pics of Fruity Auto, Blue Streak sprouts and White Label Double Gum unsexed seedlings. The Fruity Autos are female for sure. The largest one has a funny looking 2 blade leaf trait and all three have a long jagged center leaf pattern very similar to the best strains out of BC so I think they might indeed be related to the Grapefruit, Mikado, Sweet Tooth...in other word the Breeder Steve stuff! The biggest one smells amazing as did the original Blue Streak I made seed from so I can't wait to cross these and test out the offspring. Auto are slowly getting better. Hopefully the Double Gum can becrossed too at some point but for now it is just a backup and to make best use of light.

all the ones in cups are Blue streak as are the 4 in the middle in square pots. The squares on the left side are 4 Double Gum from white label and the 4 squares close together next to the larger Fruity Auto females are larger Double GUms that popped up first. The soil is Ocean Forest and the feed water is tap with KLN added as root stimulator and Superthrive for salt content and b vitamins. Slightly sprayed with maxicrop seaweed and a tiny amount of Alaskan fish emulsion. I am making a seabird guano tea as they look like they can handle the organic feeding well plus trhe light is around 10 inches or 25 centimeters away. The reflector is a PL light DEEP and the temp is around 68 degrees F! The pics look a bit distorted becasue my camera sucks and makes it look like mite damage but all is growing smooth. Leaves pointed up is a good sign of absisic acid traveling up the stem. The MH really does make the stems get thicker and the roots stronger which I think these Autos like not to mention the Double Gums are some of the strongest seedlings I have raised thus far. This is a seed production run in a small space.
