I hope you enjoy my Flo gro. Questions, comments and advice are more than welcome. ![]() First off a thanks to DJ for all of his hard work in creating the seeds that made this all possible. Also to Red for his helpful advise and hospitality. October 8th was day 1 and I managed to get 11/12 to make it above soil. Four foot shop lights were used with some bottom heat to help with the germ. Four plants had too wet roots during germ due to some less than optimum starter mix but I managed to save 2 leaving me with the current 9 at day 52 where they are currently ranging in height from 6.25 - 9.25 inches. I read as much as I could find on line and in DJ's book regarding this strain and had heard a lot regarding it's light diet requirements so when I first fed at 3-4 weeks I used 1/4 strength and still managed to slightly burn 2 or 3 of the 9! Since then they have had another feeding at 1/2 strength which they liked a lot. Their light diet continues. In another week or so I will top all and make clones. Then the plants will go under a 250W MH and 12/12. Hopefully I will have 5 females to transplant from 1 to 5 gallon pots. After a couple of weeks of 12/12 I will switch to a 250W HPS to finish. I am feeding them Pure Blend Pro based recipe and the soil consists of Sunshine Mix, Perlite, Worm Castings, Lime, Glacial Rock Dust and Pyro Clay. The purple stems smell nice when rubbed! Stay tuned for more progress...Peace |

csfraziel, thanks for dropping by. Great pics in your gallery!
I am at day 68 of veg with heights in the 10"-15" range. One female (#5) has shown sex. There was very little branching until node 8 or so and now things have picked up. That will help with my cloning efforts (waiting for a new machine to arrive). Temp. range is 72-78. Nodes started alternating at node 9-10. The shortest one (#2) has very compact/tight growth. #6 definately has the downward pointing bracts and little smell compared to the others when rubbed. I have been feeding at 1/2 strength and alternating with plain water and they seem very happy right now. I only have 40"-44" of vertical space (soil to tip) and I wonder if I flip at 15" (after topping back to 12") if that will fit with my height? I'll get a few more pics up here soon. by flipping them at just over a foot, they will likely double if size if not a little more, but with flo this can be very manageable if you train them... supercrop, tie them down... it should be a lot of fun! good luck

"Feeling like a vegtable, down here on the farm!"
kerozen, I will top to 12" and then grow to 15"-18" before flipping. That should work with my height. Thanks.
I topped #5,, #6, #7 and #8 tonight back to 12" and they are resting comfortably in my new groClone. There are also a couple of smaller NL#5 clones I'm trying in there as well. Today is day 70 and other than one, they haven't shown pre-sex yet. More veg shots soon. Peace and best of the season to all. |

Well today is day 84 of veg (12 weeks!) and the Flo are currently getting 20 hours of darkness before switching to 12/12 starting tonight. I gave them their last veg. feeding yesterday.
I have managed to get at least two clones off of each plant (1 top and 1 lower side growth) so I will be covered in case a stellar performer emerges. Heights are ranging from 12.5" - 18". It will be interesting to see how much stretch occurs. The end of 7 weeks will be February 19. A good day to harvest. Should I switch to HPS (from MH) right away or give them a couple of weeks to stretch out first before switching? I'll get a shot or two up Jan. 1. Peace |

Personally, I would keep the using the veg ferts along with the MH for the first 2 weeks of flowering. Then switch off to the HPS and flower ferts after that.
Good luck on your grow

Hey Hash, I'm with Nonphixion! I usually don't switch ta flowering nutes or HPS till the plant tells me! Meaning I wait till the plants starts flowerin...just my method!
Great job so far! With a long veg like that, ya should get a fantastic yield & the potency should be better with extra veg! I'm about ta put mine in the jars. Test smoke...no harshness, hashy taste with slight fruityness, and very good high so far! Good luck with yers! Peace KBB |
