Thumbs down the end of growshops on the cards in ireland

https://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0603/headshops.html

The Government's new legislation designed to target head shops makes it a criminal offence to sell pipes or any other objects used to take controlled or psychoactive drugs.
The Psychotropic Substances Bill also makes it illegal to sell objects used to cultivate drugs by hydroponic means and allows for penalties of up to five years in prison and fines of €5,000 upon conviction.
The main points of new legislation published today make it an offence to sell, supply or advertise hallucinogenic drugs previously sold in head shops.

plus the u.k. are about to follow suit

this whole thing initially did really badly freak me out, however a month of pondering and reading later im happy enough and no worries, the last ban slowed the headshops down for a week and then it was back to business as usual, as for grow shops just get rid of the (rip off, poorly stored) seeds and (overpriced) weed grow books, problem solved.

i got this from the irish times

my understanding of the law is that you cannot prove that nuts and products for hydro our for weed grow in court because they can be used for any plant

https://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/...reaking10.html
Under the Criminal Justice (Psychoactive Substances) Bill 2010, it will be an offence to sell, import or export unregulated psychoactive substances for human consumption, Mr Ahern said.

“In addition - and very importantly - I am providing powers for the Garda and the courts to issue prohibition and closures orders in respect of persons or premises where the sale of such products continues despite notice to cease," he told the Dáil.

The Bill will also restrict internet sales of such substances and home delivery. It will criminalises the sale of objects for cultivation by hydroponic means”, which involves growing cannabis plants in liquid, often indoors under powerful lights.

I find myself agreeing with Ojo way too much lately

I love Ireland and the problem is def not Canna. The alcohol is what causes a lot of the problems, which is nothing new though..

I agree

These rip-off merchants have been taking the piss for years, bulbs n ballasts you will find in electricians supply shops, hydro systems plumbing supply shops, pet shops n garden centers will have the rest for far less money.

Maxibloom at 1 tsp (~ 7 grams) per gal is the same as this mix at 1 gal.

Only use about 10 ml of Florabloom and 5 ml of Floramicro per gallon. Without a conductivity meter

The best media take in water fast and give it back fast, creating more air space as they do so.

Fecking hell are they going to make water illegal

All this nonsence started when the holy roller older generation decided to allow the governent to step in and parent their kids for them.

And sure of course the ministers n td's jump on the bandwagon to secure votes.

It's like the whole increase in the gun crime issue thats flared up in recent years.
Gangters are poping each other for sport so the government in their wisdom are making it impossible to get a gun licence for hunters and those who have a licence are being refused a renewall.

Soon we'll hear the cops have taken 100 of guns off the street evey year
