finally :)

I finally got some of BOGS genetics , been wantin to try em for a while now, just aint had a chance till now
Im gonna grow these in soil, i'll flower these as soon as poss to check out which is the best yeilders, the structure and growth pattern, most vigourous, ect..., of course ill have taken clones from each female beforehand. Once ive found suitable candidates i will most likely grow them in hydro, nft sog , lamps with shades and in buckets with vertical lamps with no shades. i really wanna see how these do cos they have looked great for everyone else who ive seen grow em and the potency is there from all the reports , i just havent seen anyone grow em big in hydro (i mean like 1-2lb per plant) so it should be interesting when the time comes
I have 6 seeds of BOGLifesaver and 6 seeds of BOGbubble, a good friend of mine got these 2 packs and we split the cost equally
Iv'e put them all to germ tonite so its not gonna be for a while yet till they get in the buckets, probably 3 months + as ive got another grow starting in em soon, but they will get a turn . However i will let ya's know how they get on in soil n stuff.
Gonna go read up on some BOG stuff relating to these 2 strains, im a sucka for the pictures too
Nice one BOG

All 12 beans have germed without problems (6 lifesaver, 6 bogbubble).
I actually use a small file and lightly file the edge of the bean that opens, i also lightly file the "hinge" side of the bean too. I feel this helps em germinate quicker and easier.
They all had a nice root within 36 hrs of placing them in the stuff i used to germ them, which in this case is some doubled up nft spreader mat .
The BOGbubble stared to crack slighty quicker than the BOGlifesaver but they are all doing great now anyways
Here's a few pics, notice that the lifesavers have a very "white" seedling, i wonder if it will turn out to bve one of them albino's ? i hope not :(
BOG, did anyone else report an albino BOG anytime ?
I seen a thread where Rez grew one but it didnt last very long, it wasn't a BOG seed either.
Ive had seedlings look very white before, and then they got some green in em and grew normally, so i may be jumping to conclusions anyway.

lightly file the edges, it makes em crack so easily

Later all

Picture this...

A hippo with a tiny file working on the hinged side of the tiny seed.

You are a really exacting seed germinator. I have never seen any BOG Seed go albino but my girls are fair skinned. BOG

I think its normal.

Congratulations Hippo, your germination methods are a labor of love and not for those of us that lack the patience to go through what you did. I just soaked my Lifesaver seeds in distilled water for 24 hours then put them into the starter soil and kept them outside and four days later they all sprouted 100%. Good luck with your grow and keep us posted with your pictures.

Thanks guys.
It really isn't that hard tbh, easier than scraping the ridge with a knife which is wat some ppl do.
One of the reasons i do this is because in the past ive had expensive seeds not be able to crack there shell, this way i get no probs.
Some might say if a seed cant crack its own shell its probably not worth the effort growing it as it might be a weak plant, however this isnt always true.
The white seedling has got some green in it now

My BOGS are comin on pretty well so far
1 of the Boggle gums have shown wat sofar looks to be female pre-flowers with the pistils just emerging (sorry no cam at the moment), the rest of the BG's and the lifesavers im gonna take a clone off for sexing as i dont wanna have to rely on them showing early (4 week) pre-flowers. I need these sexed fast as i wanna get to cloning em for a nft table setup im gonna use em on if they look as good flowering as they do in veg so far ill maybe put them in a bucket system with vert lamps.
there seems to be atleast 2 differant pheno's from each batch of seeds, the BG's have a very lanky one which tbh im thinking of ditching cos its got such long node spacing, this is the one thats showing the pre-flowers, the other BG's are look pretty good and are bushy indica's.
same with the LS however the 2 lankier one's are pretty nice looking plants, the rest of the LS are shorty stockier indica's with very wide leaves.
I think these for the most part are very stocky cos they have been vegging 12-18" away from a vert 600 on 18/6 and have really been lapping up the ferts which have been bio-bizz bio- grow nutes at full bottle strength a good soil and 20%perlite 10% vermaculite.

I took clones a few days ago, already we have em rooting in rockwool cubes, fast cloning strains for sure however the BOG~Bubble seems to be slightly faster than the LS in regards to who's winning the cloning race to drop roots. Also 1 of my Bog~bubbles showed sex in veg in the form of a female pre-flower, its winning the sex race sofar too .
Should know the sex of the rest soon though cos i took clones of each plant, i have 5 BOG~bubbles and 6 BOG~Lifesaver which im sure will get me atleast 1 nice female of each strain (well they are all nice really so sorry if it sounds differant, its just some of the plants are too stocky for the buckets, great for sogs n such though and i will do nft with the stocky ones i like ), or i mean 1 female with the growth characteristics i look for in plants that ill grow big in buckets with vert lamps, Biker bucket style, like "1" plant per 25 sq ft .
I would have had 6 of each but my dog knocked one over when i was repotting em and it was really damaged, i saw how it was after 3 days but it wasnt looking good, tap root was damaged i think, i didnt wanna have to nurse it along so i ditched it.

-----------------------

I won a pack of Rez Mindfuck in the SD forum, i have beans by 2 of SD's star breeders now, very cool ..hehe

22 seeds in a pack of rez'z MF, most very generous imo.
Both u and REZ are the only 2 breeders i know with such generosity towards ppl when u could clearly sell these beans all day long even at inflated prices, but u dont.
I also know that in alot of cases there are a couple of extra seeds per pack, so when u break it down from 5 or 6 orders of 1 of yours or Rez's beans/strains with 2 extra seeds per pack, if u didnt do, them extra 2 beans per pack could make either of u an extra $60+ every 6 orders, but again u dont, u give ppl extra free, this is very cool of u both, quite rare in this day and age and most generous, i applaud u both and Gypsy/Seeds direct as i know he gives his a good amount of freebies too ppl. :applauds:
----

BOG have u grown any of Rez's strains? which ones? how do u find em, can u describe please

After getting these MindFuck of Rez's my passion for buying beans has rekindled, hehe, id like to try his most indica strain or the Willems wonder atleast which i think is his most indica strain, do u know anything about this strain BOG? have u grown or atleast smoked it?
Im gonna order em tomorrow anyway, also been thinking about getting Grape punch too but ive beeen waiting on the grow reports to filter through
Before u know it ill have the full BOG and REZ catalogue
