Going to Holland with the family :-)

As the topic says i am going to Holland at the end of next week.

We will be staying at a camping resort near Den Haag ( close to my friend G.A. ) for a week and will be driving around holland, ofcourse with a stop or two at Amsterdam ;-)

Plan is to get as much of the nederlands as we possebly can....... we love the dutch, the food, the culture, the history and ofcourse the dutch weed and hash

So i would be very glad if you could come with good ideas and suggestions....

have a nice day

Go to the Zoo in ROTTERdam , not AMSTERdam
that zoo sucks

in amsterdam step into random coffeeshops and ask if you can see 2 or 3 of their most bomb weed, and pick the one you think will fit you most

If ya wanna have munchies , go to a friture , get a small/big french fries speciaal ( curry mayonaise and onions ) and have a frikandel , or a kroket with it . Can't get much more dutch than that.

The campsites outside of amsterdam are cool. I would hit dna's shop as the boys always have samples to taste. You are the first person to like dutch food that I know of (including my dutch friends) sounds like a fun trip. I think both zoos are cool but the monkey houses smell but the gorilla ex is something else

Have a great time! There is so much to do besides falling into the coffeeshop scene.

For a real fun day take the train to Arnhem and bus to the Kroller-Muller museum and gardens. Located inside a national park with no roads, they have free bicycles to ride from the bus stop to the museum and back. It's filled with amazing art, and a HUGE sculpture garden that you will never forget.

I suggest a trip to the beach! Schevenigen and Zaandvoort are great places. Lots of beach cafes in summer, but watch out for the Dutch propensity to litter everywhere, and then cover it with graffiti. Not so pretty.

Amsterdam is nice, but crowded and full of tourists in summer. Be sure to go to the Vondel Park which is near the museum area. Ride a bike! But lock it up good when finished riding...they steal them regularly. Also watch out for your backpacks and handbags, they disappear all to easily in the Dam which is filled with opportunistic thieves from all across the EU.

Then go to the Abraxas and have a space shake, and enjoy chilling in the classiest hobbit hole I have ever seen. Dampkring is also nice. Cannabis College was nice in the past, but now owned by Sensi Seeds... all the great volunteers are now gone.

Things change, sometimes for the better, but we have heard a lot of complaining about the directions Holland is heading towards. Liberalism and socialism are things of the past and the new future is American style greed, with rampant commercialism ruling the dam.

However one might also argue that the Dutch invented capitalism hundreds of years ago!!!

Walking tours..

you can take a walking tour around Amsterdam..it is inexpensive and you will learn SO MUCH about that city..I took one and there were things I had been walking past for 2 years that I found fascinating..the guide got us entry into what was the board room of the Dutch East India Company.. the walking tour was well worth the euros.. peace!
