Maximum Square foot regulations?

Hello fellow Canadian growers and friends.

I have been hearing so many sides to this Legal Program my head is spinning in circles.

I have been hearing a rumor about the government going to start limiting the number of square feet your legal grow can be.

So I have a friend, who has a friend who recently received his license and, I was told (I did not see), that his license states he can only use 25 square feet for his 25 plant license.

Anybody here anything?

Not on my card. Must be a new thing. Got 10 more months to use all my space I suppose.

If you think about the numbers................25 sq/ft is more than enough to produce the medicine prescribed. With 25 sq/ft you should be able to produce 450grams of medicine every 3 months. 5 grams a day over 3 months is approx. 450grams.

What is absurd is the fact Marijuana is not fully legal for everyone yet.
What else is absurd that in order to produce medicine for sick people we have to jump though hoops, only to run everything in a GREY AREA, or down right illegally.
How many licensed growers are actually growing Health Canada Seeds? (I doubt it would be higher than 5% of licensed grows are using Legal Genetics)

This might be great for people who are used to growing a sea of green /hydro style but it doesn't allow enough room for light and air space between plants for those who prefer to grow bigger plants less often.
It really should be up to the personal grower if we are the ones putting all the money and effort into it.
What about those of us who have established and set up our grow rooms before this new rule applies ?
I sure hope this is rumour

AND how are they going to restrict people who grow outdoors? Tell people they can only use up so much of the suns energy?

The one strain rule, can't be enforced right now due to the fact that there is no law written about what seeds can or cannot be used.

HC can set up guidelines for us to follow but that does not necessarily mean we have to follow them if it is considered unconstitutional or against our legal rights.

So far in the "controlled substances act", there is no such law. They would have to use some very sophisticated extremely expensive equipment and a LOT of man power to even 'think' of pulling this off.
In my opinion, it is just a scare tactic.
HC's is trying to disolve this program because it is NOT working out the way they planned it . They expected to have a complete monopoly on the MMJ market and it failed completely

I do not know ONE single person growing HC strain and if they were, who would actually admit it????
LOL!

Hi outdoor dreams,
The friend of your friend must be confused because I checked this out and it is totally false.

There are no limitions on size or room allowance.

Straintester, did you phone Health Canada?

I was going to phone them today?

I also heard one person is allowed to be a designated grower for up to 4 people now.
But on the HC website it still says 2 per person, 4 per site?

So much confusion. How up to date is Health Canada, and/or their website?
