mazar i shariff and pakistan kush
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() These are 3.5 weeks into flower under 126 watts of led, 2 inches above plants or less. The 2 plants on left of counter are mazar and the one on right is paki kush. All around 20 inches tall and have to tie them down to keep them that height. 3 mazar and 2 kush. All females out of 5 regular seeds, beginners luck. 3% chance, I looked it up. I vegged for 2 months under 52 watts cfl, which was too much time. I supercropped them, but am not satisfied with bushiness, but have no experience with these types or any others with supercrop, lst etc. Will top next round and flower at 8 or 10 inches, to finish at 20 inches or less. Ketama and Afghan Kush are on board for next round. Am thinking ACE Panama for future maybe. Want a mellow landrace sativa, no heart pounding, any suggestions welcome. Used 1 part sunshine #4 with 3 parts ffof and tbsp or 2 per gallon of soil: lime, blood and bone meal. Am using molasses with water now and that will be all up to finish. I hope they finish quick, but realize it may take 10 or more weeks to get them really ripe. Seedbank flower times are not reliable(6-8 weeks). I am going to let the pistils turn dark and recede into bud with seed calyxes swelling. Also have a 45x scope to check trichs, but will not go on that alone. I am on 12/12 light now, am thinking of dropping to 11/13 or 10/14 to speed flowering up? Anyone confirm or deny this? Have heard of it for sativa but not indica. They are in 2.25 gallon pots, with one in 2.6 liter pot. One in little pot is narrow, but was narrow before flower when I transplanted the others from 2.6 liter pots. Vegged them in 18 oz. cups for 5 weeks. Think I will germ 8 or more seeds next time as I used up my beginners luck. I am allowed 12 immature or 6 mature by my daddy the govenator. |

wow mate, looking nice! when you say supercrop do you mean topped them several times? did you use the standard top or FIM top technique? hope they yield well and smoke even better!

Supercrop means to squeeze and bend the stem(usually top of plant) I did this every 3 days starting when they were 8 inches or so. I will just cut off top part of plant next time, just above the 2nd node, after letting them grow 5 nodes first. This is supposed to yield 4 colas.

Is this normal calyx or hermie? One plant has a bunch of these teardrop things.

it may be seeded or it may just be supersized calyxs which i've seen and heard a little bit about. but yeah best to keep an eye on them if you're unsure of what they are and see if they turn into male flowers etc, if so just remove them if you're worried about selfing or it pollinating other plants in your grow mate. if you really want, pull them off and open them up and you'll know what the deal is. hope that helps

I got a bit over 2 oz. of Paki Kush and Mazar. I just finished a grow with Afghan Kush and Ketama, but no photos as the grow was so small. Less than a half oz.
The Mazar was a kind of annoying high for me, did not like it for some reason. Others were fine with it. The Pakistan was pleasant and not sedating but very stony, with no comedown. Both of them had lots of nanners and I got lots of seeds. Took almost 3 months to flower these. The Afghan Kush never bushed out even after supercropping and the Ketama had very airy buds. I left both in 1 gal pots thru flower and that kept yield down imo. I could not get the Afghan to grow vertically even after about 2 months veg, the Ketama did go vertical tho. Afghan was about a foot tall at finish with no side growth, and the Ketama was almost 2 feet. Both finshed at around 60 days of flower. The Ketama I have not yet tested but my friend said it was bunk, no potency. Might have some cbd value tho. The Afghan is quite good, mellow and can make you a bit tired after a while. No nanners with either. None of these have bag appeal, just dull green buds, and not extremely tasty. The Afghan tastes better than the Paki, which is like Mexican with hashy undertone. Potency is maybe 7 or 8 out of ten with either. I have smoked a number of the Kushes from the dispensary and they were not that sedating or consistently relaxing as these 2, so I think it was worth it for me to grow these out. I will order more Pakistan Kush and Afghan Kush seeds as these have medical value for me, altho the growth characteristics of both leave a lot to be desired. |
