Talking Ducksfoot X Lowryder

Hey everybody! I'm working on developing a super stealth, short season plant and I think Ducksfoot and Lowryder might make an excellent match after stabilizing the strain for a few generations. I've been breeding my Lowryder for a few now and it carries the autoflower trait while growing about 2.5 feet tall under perfect conditions for a 8-10 week grow. Perfect for my dry, generally cold environment that only heats up without frost for about 3.5 months of the year.

I figure if I can get the webbed leafing of the Ducksfoot and throw that into the equation I'll have something discreet enough that the neighbors won't notice it in my garden AND it will actually be able to do a full season out here. Interstingly enough, pure Lowryder is also nearly scentless in flower so if I can carry that trait over to the hybrid, even more stealthy!

What do you all think???

many have tried it, few are succesful --- best of luck!

it's a great concept, but there is alot to it man.

...it sounds like you haven't tried growing the duck yet? there are a few versions (not to mention the webbed leaf indicas, unrelated but similar plants) but most of the DF you get takes a very long time to finish and is mediocre stuff.
Mine are rugged plants, but have a Long flowering time.

I'm working on my own DF crosses, along with a few other peoples versions.

try and find the many threads that are similar to yours, you can really learn alot / save alot of time

not trying to discourage, just lettin you know whatsup man

peace --- shoot me a PM if you would like to chat more about them.

...i hope some others throw in some comments that will help you a bit more, lol

Oh for sure, thanks for the heads up! Trust me, I've been gardening for years so this won't be my first time making a hybrid plant, although I've never worked with the duck. If its anywhere as difficult as crossing with lowryder though, I think I'll be fine-- its a pretty unstable strain itself. Just out of curiosity though, where can I find some original Ducksfoot seeds? I can only seem to find hybrids online. I'll definitely shoot you a PM as soon as I'm able to. Darn being a N00B to this website
