Hey Everyone,

Thought all medical grower might be interested in the bill proposed by Liberal MP, Michelle Simpson.

She is trying to enact all sorts of prohibitive rules for legal medical growers. Such as no grows in commercial buildings, background check for your PPL, inspections of all grow sites, and notifying neighbors for grows in multi-unit buildings!!!

Makes sense to me

Less complaints means the program runs smoother, and will evolve the proper way

Honestly, an inspection IS most def needed for most grows

Only a matter of time until the tell us how many sqf per number of plants we can have.

If I had a med grow in a multi-unit building I would feel vulnerable if the whole building knew what was going on. Stipulations like that could end up causing far more problems than they prevent.

The part that would prohibit anyone convicted of a drug related crime in the previous ten years is also a dangerous stipulation. Just because someone may have had a marijuana related conviction doesn't mean they don't have a legitimate need for medical marijuana thus a right to grow their own medicine.

Tell me you are kidding! There is NO WAY that this bill should be passed as it puts medical marijuana growers in harms way. Hell I know a patient that lives in the Jane & Finch area in Toronto and if they had to tell all their neighbors they would have a home invasion within a week.

Sorry but I DON'T support telling neighbors. But I have NO PROBLEM with having the grow facility inspected to make sure that everything is up to the standards.

I have had my garden by the police , fire and E.S.A., hell the guy from the fire department made us take down the reflective material stating that it was haserdous LOL

So if this Bill passes, are we going to get grandfathered in if our grow is more than 100km from the patients home? Or would they shut us down.

They,ll soon be publishing the names of Med growers in the local newspaper ...may as well put it on TV while they,re at it.........
There,ll be squads of rippers goin,from house to house .......ah more violence from the herb....

Yeah,

Definitely in contradiction to every book I've read. Most authors may as well shout to "Not tell ANYONE!"; and the gov. wants us to let the neighbors know. That neighbor talks to his buddy.

"Wow dude next door has XX plants - I'm gonna rob his ass"'

If your neighbors don't rob you - the people he tells will.
