Question Help with diagnosis, please...

Hello.

strain: Green Goddess.
method:soil/soilless mix comprised of:light warrior, worm castings, blood meal, bone meal, coco coir, perlite,...
Lighting: 400 watt Metal Halide. 15 inches from tops of plants. Running 24 hours a day.
Water: R/O water at 6.2~6.5pH.
Nutes/Additives: Age Old Grow:given one feed at 1/2 strength, EN/EA: 1 feed 1/2 strength, Cal-mag: 1 feed 1/2 strength, Nitrozime: 1 feed 1/2 strength...and foliar spray at 1/2 strength, Diamond Nectar: foliar spray 1/2 strength...

plants are 22 days from seed...plant was topped at day 20. This is the only plant showing these symptoms. There are 3 more green goddess in the grow, and lots of other plants that are fine...the leaves look like they have been pressed and damaged???
i have foliar fed under the light...i thought this may be the problem, but all other plants seem fine...the two leaves bove these look to be showing early 'claw'...
pics:

lower left, shown with other green goddess plants...

close up top of leaf

bottom of leaf

healthy plant for comparison

everything else is healthy looking...
any ideas?

thanks.

Very strange Sleepy, very strange indeed, it sure does look like light burn or somethin how its located in the center of the leaf and not starting at the tip. Does it appear to be gettitng worse or spreading or just standin still?

How are ya dude?!

gronut posted on the main thread, thinks the plant will grow out of it. Thanks, GroNut!

Hi Sleepy...I enjoy reading your posts. I had the same type issue looking at your pics. I had a Magnesium deficiency. I treated it with adding 2 teaspoons of Epsom salts(magnesium sulfate) to a gallon of R/O water. keep in mind that my plants were further along than yours. This is what I copied out of Jorge Cervantes book;

Deficiency : Common indoors. Lower and later leaves develop yellow patches between darker green veins and rusty browm spots on leaf margins, tips and between veins. Leaf tips usually curl upwards before dying. The entire plant could discolor in a few weeks...

Interveinal yellowing, irregular rust-brown spots on older leaves
Rust brown spots multiply and interveinal yellowing increases

Keep soil EC @ 6.5 and hydro @ 5.5

Good luck!

That would prolly work from what I've read elsewhere. I've never used it...just make sure it has magnesium sulfate monnohydrate. Your babies are little so what ever you do use caution with the strength. If it is not spreading then it might grow out like Gronut said but if you notice anything new you might wnat to give it a little blast.

Also remember that magnesium conflics with calcium.

Red face yayyy!!...i'm an idiot!!!

ok, i figured it out and i am taking measures to correct the problem...

pH too LOW...??!!

i thought the pH was too HIGH. but after recalibrating my meter (had to wait for calibration solutions), and checking the runoff, i'll be damned...ITS TOO f-ing LOW!!!

surprised me with that one..

this plant is suffering lockout from pH way out of range...4.7!

so, i am repotting and giving pH adjusted water to all plants, as they are showing early signs of the same trouble...

so, lesson learned: calibrate your meters OFTEN...and check that runoff WITH A RELIABLE METER!!!

enjoy your turkey.
