Colorado Legalization 2012

Its about time...again...why can't we do it in 2011? Why wait 2 more years?

In the wake of new legislation regulating the burgeoning medical-marijuana industry, advocates in Colorado are planning another attempt to legalize the drug for recreational as well as medicinal purposes.

Activists have their eyes on placing a state constitutional amendment on the ballot in 2012.

Article is wrong.
Ned legalized
Breck decriminalized one ounce, big deal. it's still not legal in Breck.

Complete full legalization, none of this BS like Cali's so called decriminalization of small amounts being pushed over there now as legalization, that's pure BS.

and after reading the synopsis of that article, I don't like the sound of ths so called bill these peeps are trying to write

The group's website says it is considering language that would legalize the sale, production, transport and use of marijuana and allow for taxation and regulation of the industry in ways similar to the regulations around the production of alcohol.
That's me, I don't believe herb should be regulated in any form or fashion, it's wrong.

IMHO 'd rather see Bud stay illegal, and stay Medical only. nuff said,

f legalization

I'm all for legalization....but treat it more like coffee than alcohol or tobacco, since its about as benign as coffee, if not safer.

it is safer than coffee. If you smoke 22 joints you will be stoned, eat a bunch of cookies and pass out. if you take 22 espresso shots you will rupture a heart valve. I knew a guy at starbucks who drank like 20 something shots of espresso and he blew a heart valve and almost died. he was in critical condition for a long as time. BTW if I knew what he was doing I would have stopped him, but i didnt know until it was done.

I think even if it's legalized they will still regulate the shit out of it, they're not going to let you grow 100 plants in your basement, regardless of whether it's legalized. Sort of like Alcohol manufacturing and sales, it's like $80,000 for a liquor license, and even then, you can't run a still in your backyard.

Maybe better to leave it the way it is........ I guess I don't really care, it would be nice to know the war on weed is over, but then all those farmers in the midwest would switch from corn, beans, etc... to WEED!

Imagine competing for businss with those kinds of quantities... can you harvest cannabis with a combine? I'll bet John Deere or someone would invent a machine as big as an apartment building to use in the harvesting process! And big seed companies, like Monsanto, etc.. would be breeding strains that never get sick, or any bugs, and can withstand a tornado and fucking finish in 30 days, and yield 10 lbs a plant! Probably a bunch of genetic engineered scary stuff that will give everyone cancer in 20 years, but for now you will get weed for 10 bucks an Oz!

At least our clothes would finally be made from Hemp, and maybe even my car would run on Hemp-oline or whatever they use cannabis to make a car run.....

I have heard cannabis can save the world, I guess if they legalized it that part would happen quicker!

Monsanto will splice Cannabis DNA with the DNA of a camel...and currently, cops are quick to say that we are "engineering" the most potent cannabis in the world when we cross a sativa with an indica!

They won't let that happen until every last drop of oil is used up...they ALREADY own all of the worlds oil, or rights to it, you won't see hemp-based biofuels in our lifetime....unless they never manage to seal that whole in the Gulf of Mexico.....

Monsanto

I'm convinced corn slows the passage of time, much like extreme gravity.
Have you ever actually been to the middle of IL/IN?

Turn corn subsidies into small fuels producers credits, or abolish them. Make swapping x acres of soybeans for x tankers of soy oil an easy process.
Then biofuels might have a chance. A farm driven tech revolution much like what's happening in the growing scene.
