KQ99 and Banana Kush
Hello DG I just thought I would share a couple of my handsome boys with you. The Banana Kush is probably one of the heavyer sativa looking plants I have in the garden right now. What parents contribute to the Banana Kushes sativa side? Thank you very much for all your work. Left to right is KQ99 and Banana Kush in 1/2gal bags.

A bit confused....I presume you are referring to Killer Queen Redux and Oger99? These can both be found in my catalog sticky thread.

Sorry for the confusion DG. Yes you are correct I meant KQ Redux and Oger99. The pictures I posted earlier were of two of the nicest males I had this time around. I figured everyone postes their lovely ladies why not some handsome boys. Anyhow, here are a couple of pictures of the Oger99 and KQ redux females. I took these after I took cuttings and before I transplanted into 3gal containers. The plants are in 1/2 gal bags in these pictures. The KQ redux does not want branch out. Despite all my efforts to encourage the KQ to branch it completely refuses. So, after I took cuttings of the KQ I decided to top the plant which should help it put on some more branches. The Oger99 is by far the heaviest s ati va looking plant in the garden. I wonder how long it will need to fruit. I didn't need to top the Oger99 as it naturally wants to be bushy with just a little bit of 'supercropping'.
Pictures on top are Oger99 and Bottom are KQredux. peace. |

Thanks DG I'm really excited about the KQR. I don't have anything else in my garden that is g13 dominant so it will be very interesting. I'll keep you updated as things progress. Peace.

G13 dominance is easy to spot.
One must take into consideration that with KQR there can be pheno's which lean more to the C99 mom side, and those which lean more to the father side of G13...is the way with F1's...usually there are those two as well as a more balanced combination of the two parents. Of the KQR's I've seen growers posting up, most have exhibited either a combination of the two parents fairly equally, or, leaned more to their C99 mom....based on the growth of yours I'd say clone that one for sure...G13 will branch out a bit more as she grows so I'd not recommend topping yours more than once as it's very G13bx dom. ![]() ![]() DG |
