DGS Strain Guide Entries
The strain guide here at ICMag is an invaluable tool available to all. In this area you are able to quickly find grow info on strains that have already been grown by independent growers and not just the by the breeder. Breeders tend to use optimum methods when growing, thus the strain guide gives a better impression of how the specific variety performs in a multitude of environments.
I prefer entries also be made there, as this would be of benefit to many who are looking for quick info and who do not have time to rely on reading an entire grow thread done here in my forum. The strain guide gives the ability to quickly compare varieties and make choices which best suit the specific grower's needs. I would kindly ask that anyone who has actually grown, and smoked, the specific DGS variety to please take a few moments to complete a grow report there. There is also the smoke report forum here on the site that can be used strictly for smoke reports. I can of course do this myself, and make a listing for all my varieties, but would simply be stating the same info I've posted as the breeder description for that particular variety. I would like to see the grow reports, smoke reports, and the like coming from the ever growing growers out there.....YOU.....rather than just info coming from myself as the breeder. I feel this gives a more rounded and unbiased opinion, as well as the collection of information pertaining to the medicinal qualities found, and this I feel can only come from those who have the 'use of cannabis as medicine' experience to determine what those qualities best found are. There is no place currently to add medicinal benefits in it's own category, so would suggest this info be placed in the text of your grow report as well as taking it into consideration during the overall rating option. If I get a few hours to spend on this project, I will upload the initial data for all DGS varieties, but do not wish for anyone to wait for me to do this. My entry of this information is not necessary in order for others to do their own report thereby providing independent grower information. Therefore, I kindly and respectfully ask those who have interest in DGS and that have grown to completion any of my varieties to please make an entry in the IC Strain Guide so that it can benefit all who utilize the strain guide. Only by sharing your experiences can others benefit. The ICM Strain Guide can be easily found by clicking the button in the top of your menu labeled Strain Guide, or clicking here: https://www.icmag.com/modules/ICStrainguide/ Smoke reports can also be placed in the smoke report forum here: https://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=65 All of the above should not be interpreted to result in replacing grow threads done in my forum here, but rather as an addition/summary to the information contained here. ![]() DG Last edited by Dutchgrown; 06-04-2010 at 04:13 PM.. DGS is extremely interested in collecting data pertaining to medicinal benefits, and would like to have this information from patients and providers (growers) to help in this regard.
So I'd like to place a bit of emphasis on this when grow and smoke reports are added to the strain guide for any DGS variety, wherein possible. Good growing to you all! ![]() ![]() DG |

That would be awesome chef!
I know that you are a provider for medical patients, and the opinion of your patients, and other patients, are the best indicators imvho when attempting to compile this most important information.Thank you chef for all you do for others! I would imagine you have to get a great sense of satisfaction, pride and emotional reward from growing, knowing that the buds could mean such a difference in the comfort of others. I know that same feeling when I see folks like yourself growing DGS varieties and realizing that what started from such a small seed can make such a big difference to someone as medicine. So much respect to you chef....and all others who grow as providers. ![]() ![]() DG |
