Why young voters should be against The Regulate, Control and Tax Cannabis Act of 2010
Besides the obvious reason that 18-20 year old adults wouldn't be covered by this initiative, it will be the younger adults who will be most likely sent to jail for the 3 new marijuana criminal offences this initiative would create.
Under this initiative, if a 21 year old person passes a joint to a 20 year old, he or she goes to county jail for six months. And if a 18 year old passes a joint to a 17 year old, he or she goes to state prison for 3-5 years. Think about the consequences before you vote on this initiative. |
