Ok....Here goes! I ended up with 42 Oaxacan seeds. I soaked the seeds in a H2O2 solution for 5 minutes. Then planted the seeds directly into a starter tray filled with soil. Basically Tom Hill's Method except for the addition of the quick presoak. They were placed in a room set to 84 degrees.

The plan is to hopefully pollinate as many females as possible with as many males as possible.

I'll be keeping you all updated as promised with news and pictures

being the seeds quite old you think is the best to germ them straight up in soil? i tought paper towels would be a better method...maybe trying each method with some seeds is the best to compare results.

Was gonna but I have had really good success doing it this way in the past. I believe the seeds aren't much older than 6-7 years and although by no means fresh, they aren't the oldest I've done using this method. You may indeed be right though. If the germ rates are really low/zero I'll def use the paper towel method on the other seeds in the box. Fingers crossed.
