https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitochondrial_Eve
Now I am more parra about links than anyone, but on this one it's not MJ related and it's a main site. It gives a really interesting and yet not too complex overview of "Adam and Eve".

I saw a TV show on Discovery (Science channel I think) about the Mitochondrial Eve - it was pretty interesting!

I remember a thing I saw about Lions in Africa once.Somehow they know that inbreeding causes problems because every so often they banish one of the young males from the pride. It takes the young male a little bit to get the message but when they do they go off and join another lion pride thereby insuring genetic diversity.

I think a natural progression for this thread would be a Q and A session for those out there who have always had questions but never had the forum to ask the breeders when they are present. I know when i started with Gypsy i knew incredibly little about breeding and over they years can say i've gratefully picked up enough knowledge to help a bit. So if anyone has any direct and relevant questions feel free to start the ball rolling.

sure the entire race came from a single human female, there's just no other possibility. Any two humans living today have a common ancestor, you might have to go back 100 generations but you're sure to find a great^50 grandfather eventually... by the same logic, any two humans that have ever lived share a common ancestor. Take it one step further, and you have to conclude that all organisms living today, and all organisms that have ever lived, from bacteria to elephants, all derive from a common single-celled ancestor. This, in a nutshell, is evolution.
Some acid casualties like to talk about alien visitors from the eleventh planet who caused apes to mutate into humans, and evangelical christians have some shtick about 'intelligent design', but the truth is far stranger and more beautiful than either... (PS: Hey vapour, good to see ya! )

If this is the case I want my hereditary entitlements to one or more of my Rich relatives Estates like the Trump Plaza or Buckingham Palace or The BOG Cave or Rezs Oil Derrick (for no other reason than Space to Grow Weed and Play my Banjo). That's right Queenie, Bushy Rez and Donnie cough up those deeds.
