[Hazy Daze]

Hello Folks,

I dry and jar cure using the most accepted methods. No problems there. Back in the early 80's I was in Hawaii and got ahold of some Mauie Wowie and in the states would get California Red Hair bud. They were bright green ones, almost a lime color. Even though they were green like this, they didn't have any taste of chlorophyll. Tasted perfect in fact. My buds will be close to this light color green when placed in jars for their cure. Over time, they become a dark green color. Sometimes a very dark green. Is there any way to preserve the lighter color, but still get rid of the chlorophyll? Would love to have some really green nugs to puff on.

Pick em a week early or give them 48 hours darkness before harvest. Otherwise you may be reduced to certain genetics to get the same kind of green.

Even here in Paradise the best looking plants when grown may not be the best LOOKING when dried.

Sativa's just don't dry out lime coloured.

Fat juicy Hashbuds can, though.

And some strains dry completely in two days crisp and bright and no cure needed to improve at all.

Some need a 40 day cure to mellow.

Some take four - five days to dry.

Brightness on the vine definitely is a must for bright dried weed.

I'll have a shot for ya soon of some killer HawaiianGrown Lime Diesel that I'm working on for a certain breeders competition.

I went to a music festival a few years back and my friend bought the most chunky lime green bud that i've ever seen in my life. It almost looked neon...no green taste to it at all either. I would LOVE to know the genetics... i would buy some in a heart beat!

This is what I had in the 80's, too. It was so neon green it almost glowed. Street price was almost triple the going rate of regs. The Holy Grail if you ask me. Diesel is the best I've had since, but this stuff wasn't diesel as I recall. An incredible skunky pine odor. I would love seeds of some of these fine genetics from the past.

The Black Domina I've got turns out neon green when dried and keeps it after the cure. Sorry I dont have any pics right now to back it up tho...I just wanted to throw that out there.

I agree bout b.d. from sensi seeds.When i get it in their coffee shop(long time ago)it was bluis-green and some of nicest smokes i had....later.

I had a friend get some huge and I mean HUGE buds an eighth only fit into a half bag,,,, plus it was the most neon lime green I ever seen... always wondered how to get some..... maybe someone will know!?
