Grapefruit and Big Bud X Northern Lights
Hey guys. I grew a BB x NL and 2 grapefruits outdoors this year. Started out with several more, but divorce has a way of demotivating you for sure. Ended up with the above mentioned plants and couldn't have been happier! Shame on me for not growing more...I don't have pics so a description will have to do...All three plants were in my least-sunny spots but the big bud performed as expected...Big frosty buds, very good smoke. Ferry, I gotta tell ya, I seriously wondered about your grapefruit. I didn't really expect it to smell like grapefruit, but bro, you've got a WINNER there ! I could not get over the grapefruit smell ! My entire house smelled like it from just two plants. Absolutely AMAZING !! Dense buds, crystals all the way thru, beautiful smoke. You've got a customer for life my friend. Now that all my personal shit is over, I'm gearing up next year to do one hell of a grow. Looking forward to what you roll out next year. I DEFINATELY hope to grow 20 or more plants.
One question, I know you no longer offer the BB x NL, but the question is, I've never tried BB or NL, how prevalent is the NL in this strain ? I was impressed as I've read a post before that said the bb x nl is "all show, no go". I found it to be the complete opposite. Thanks again for your hard work on the strains. No more males in my garden, ever. |

tokin joe, I also grew out a pack of the NLxBB and may be able to help you out. WHen I grew them there was two distinct phenos, one which we called the NL pheno(becasue it reminded me of lots of NL I see in these parts) had much darker green leaves and when cured had brown hairs, alsol it tasted like NL and grew a massive main cola and not much else. the pheno we called Big Bud was more of a massive yeilding plant which had bright orange hairs( a trait we see from the big bud) and a nice grape taste to them, heres a pic of my favorite of the Big Bud phenos
This baby was most delicious and gave me a 21 gram headie
