humidity
ever since winter came, when the lights go off my humid sky rockets to 73% from 45%.
i have a 6 inch vortex for exhaust, oscillating fan, and another one blowing air on to the canopy. question, from the time that the lights go off it will go to 70's, should i be concerened of this?? i have more fans than elton john, is there a way to drop my humid without having to spend another 200 on a dehumid? |

A friend of mine used dessicant blocks when his humidity was high. He said it worked well and was cheap. His grow area is pretty small. Don't how effective dessicant would be in a mid to large room.

You should find a way to lower it down a bit.70% is pretty high and you risk mold on buds and also mildew problems.

dessicant and a dehumidifier are your only 2 options, you could also turn on your baseboards if you haven't already and it should dry the house out a bit.
how large an area we talking, ABK? didn't u say in chat u bought the unit? if so ignore this post LOL ![]() cj ps- an a/c unit would work too, great addition to a permanent setup and opportunes full-on climate control Last edited by CaptainJack; 11-19-2005 at 12:43 AM.. |

"damp-rid" dessicant is good stuff but the dehumidifyer is the permanant fix
if it's an open-air setup like i think it is, and not a cab, dessicant may be worthless, unless you cover the entire growroom floor with kitty-litter i doubt it'd have much of an effect on overall rH if it's a big enough room. be well cj |
