430 watt HPS

Anyone know the cheapest place to buy a 430wt. HPS? Cheapest I've seen so far is $190usd for a complete 430wt. at Inside Sun. I wonder why 430wt. lights are so much more expensive than 400wt. lights. I found a PL 430wt. for $320. I wish I could afford one of those. Anyone know a cheap source for PL lights?

As far as the 430wt. HPS in general, does anyone know what the best bulb out for them is? I would guess it's the Hortilux. I've seen the specs on the horti and it produces 58,500 lumens and I think 220PAR wts, which is higher than some 600wt. bulbs (PAR wts I mean). Anyone now if there is a better bulb out there?

Any 430 growers out there that have some pics they wanna share? I think those 430HPS's produce some of the prettiest nuggets. My friend had a 430 in 1 closet and a 600 in another. Everything else was the same, temps and everything, but the plants under the 430 looked way prettier. They were more coated in resin/crystals and just looked better overall. The 600 yielded more, and the bud was still kick ass but it just wasn't as appealing to the eye. Like I said, the conditions were exactly the same and he didn't screw up the plants under the 600, so the lighting was the only difference. Does anyone know why the 430 would produce prettier nugs?

Another question.....Do you guys honestly think that the 430wt. lights are worth the extra money? A 400wt. Hortilux HPS puts out 55,000 lumens, and the 430 puts out 58,500 I believe. The 430's have a higher PAR watt rating though. What do ya think?

spend the coin.the extra 30w is in the blue spectrum I believe . Used one for years , get one on a light mover with some side lighting and you'll kill it .

i have a ss1 430 ballast there around 250 and are safe and reliable. i had a phillips sonagro bulb for it but i dont think there available any more , i think it was the euro growers that really liked them allot, now im wondering if a cmh will work in it . i tried a 400hps bulb in it and that bulb was much brighter x2 in the regular 400 galaxy ballast then the 430mag the old 430 bulb was the same as the galaxy.i know hortilux has a 430 still but it costs to much for a 400
