2x126w panels and 1 250w MH in a 2x4 tent - LED Grow Lights - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

4 days ago I started flowering 6 plants under 2 x 126w LED panels and 1 250w MH.

I think I've got the tent setup for maximum light coverage now - on my last grow I had just the 2 LED panels and didn't feel I had enough light - as I'm low on cash we just put the MH/HPS in as well except I'm going to keep it on the MH bulb through flower.

Take a look at my setup and if you have an suggestions - toss them my way - you can see my grow journal from start to now here.

Anyhow, onto some pics. BTW, coco rocks!!!

Thanks LEDGirl - hey quick question - plants are about 12in tall right now and I've got my panels at 18in high so 6in above the plants - 2 plants under each panel - is this a good height during flower or should I raise them up a bit?

Hey Synax,

Your plants will receive some supplemental lighting from that Metal Halide you have in there, so using the panels at 9" wouldn't hurt. At 12" the micromole readout is roughly 700 for the 126W, which is half the value of 6", or roughly 1450 micromoles. MJ has a saturation point around 1500 micromoles, so keep that in mind as a reference.

so you didn't have enough light in a 2x4 with enough led to cover said area??? your last grow with just the 2 led's yielded .48 gpw. kinda low for my standards, even with a ph swing. i usually yielded around 7-9oz off of my 250 hps when i was running it in a similar area, 1oz/sq ft. i'm looking forward to seeing how the mh helps out... nice grow!!! looking awfully healthy! props!

Mexicangreen420 - I can't wait till my numbers get a bit higher - I think the lack of weight on the White Widow grow was due to multiple issues not just the ph swing - I had to chop about 3 weeks early, spider mites, ph swings and just not quite enough experience to read the plants - I'm now getting to the point where I feel I can see certain problems. Today I'll be looking at drip equipment at Lowes - I think if I start watering multiple times a day things will pick up even more. I'm hoping that this 3rd grow of mine will be better than any of the others - the lemon kush is supposed to be a 45-50day strain so we should know in about 2 months. I have no idea what the bagseed is but it appears to be a compact indica.... My very first grow with the 250w hps in my old cabinet was just over 4oz so with the floor size doubled and the 2 126w LED panels I'm hoping to pull at least 8oz. My first grow used the scrog method which I think I'll bring back on my next grow - I'll go all 1 strain and fill a full screen up then flip to flower. I'm having fun learning about growing and its nice when we don't have to buy from a dealer....
