Red Dead Redemption

Anybody else playing this game? It was rainy out today so I went to the store and grabbed it, ended up getting sucked in and playing it all day... Pretty much a grand theft auto ripoff in spaghetti western form, I'm fine with that, though.

Multiplayer looks cool, I couldn't get into a good game at all though.

I've been drooling over this game for a while, I love western themed shit lately and am a whore for sandbox style gameplay. I'll be picking it up this weekend when I can finally afford to stop being productive for 3 days.

Just finished RDR a few days ago... didn't think much of it, storyline was really predictable, missions were mostly boring (ride for five minutes, shoot a few guys, ride back for five minutes) and the whole game was too damn easy. Shame, as there are way too few western games around.

1st ... RDR is not a GTA rip off, like Saint's Row was ... it is made by Rockstar... the same company ... it uses the same game engine. So if you like GTA style (free roam) games and you like Westerns this game is the bee's knees.

Great Game made even better by the latest Zombie expansion pack. A giant 1.75 gig download (huge fore an expansion pack). This gives you more multi-player characters, a multi-player zombie horde mode that will make you enjoy getting your brains eaten ... and a whole new single player campaign to play ... including Zombie bears and hunting Sasquatch (Big Foot).

absolutely worth the money and a lot of fun for those that like the open map free roam style games.

The single player campaign can be made more difficult based on the settings you choose... but ultimately it is also just a story based training ground to get you ready with the basics for the online game play .... that is were the real challenging game play is (except for the zombie single player campaign, some tuff stuff in there)
