Ok I started my first grow...Im a total newb so I went with hempy bucket but a bit modified...Im using 3 gallon buckets with about 3/4 hydroton and 1/4 perlite (im just noticing now its enhanced with nutes)...im using rockwool cubes the little ones to start the seedling in....I got the grow closet up but not all the things i need...I got the 400w mh/hps from HTG supply GH nutes mylar and 3 fans...


Im in my room on the 2nd floor and my room only has one window and one vent for ac...I have no filters no ducts and no co2...I hand water my plants every day but i feel ive been over watering...and on top of that like a newb i was using nutes on the poor seedlings and on top of all that i got THE most crappiest ph tester for fish tank fresh water...so ive been messing up with the ph...my temp of the closet is always 83-88...the only way i can lower my temp is to blast the house AC and only then can i get it to like 80.....i flushed them today with only water ph adjusted with viniger...i will not water them for another 2 days...

The plants are looking bad...they seem to look dry and were becoming green tacos...also they seemed to be turning light green...now i know this could be the PH,light,heat,or nute stress or all of them at once...they do not seem to be getting worse since i only feed them water...but they are not doing anything...they are not moving one bit it seems like they have frozen in time...i wasted all my money on the lights and stuff and didnt have enough money for venting items,proper ph tester,ph up and down (not a big deal)...


i hope i can save my plants cause i even ordered seeds and was trying the bubblelicious and white russian (another newb mistake buying only ONE fem seed of the white russian)...i just want to know if there is any hope for me...like if anyone was in the situation and things turned out good...cause of right now im not feeling to confident...i have everything riding on this first grow..i would post pics but need to get my camera situation good....

What kind of water are you using? Temps seem a bit high, and vinegar isn't really good for adjusting the pH... I'd say you will just have more problems until you get a digital pH meter.. https://www.amazon.com/Hanna-Instrume...pr_product_top Hanna makes a good one for $40.. 400 watts also seems a bit bright for seedlings. well im using tap water...but i have a pur filter on my sink so i use it...i try to let the water sit open so the chlorine goes away...i have no money...none...so that ph tester is out of the question...ill just have to make do with the drops...400w on seedlings is no good? I have two 24w flo grow t5 2 feet long but i ditched using em cause i thought more watts is better...i do have the light like 30 inches away

if i was you i would get medical growers bible its full of great inf also i want along time useing one of them fishtank ph testers and had problems all the time i have since got millwalkee ph pens now that the ph is right its like night and day hope this helps and good luck

The thing with hempybuckets is your plants will stall till the roots hit the res at the bottom then they take off goodluck and be patient

my flower room runs at 78-85 not far from your temps .....it will slow growth abit but they still grow

go back to using the T5s for the seedlings, STOP giving nutes to the seedlings, never do that. Dont give em anything till they're a month old, or a lot healthier than they are now, they're locked up already it looks like, that why they arent growin

Switch to the fluros for now. It will lower temps and the plants are too small to use that much light. You are wasting electricity but more importantly causing high temps that are stressing your seedlings. Stop with the nutes. I'm not sure what your PH is, but you probably don't need the vinegar either. Since you decided to use hydrotron, you are going to have an extra hard time until the roots hit the res. You may need to lightly water the center hydrotron a few times a day to keep it moist enough for the fragile seedling. Switching to the fluro will also help with keeping the environment moist enough for the babies.

depends on water your using tbh if your using a low ppm water like RO or distilled ect its good to give them a weak nute solution since theres absolutaly nothing for the plant to feed off in a hempy bucket and it will start eating itself. I personally just use my tap water for first week or so since its ppm is like 120ish. I find if i use only distilled water the seedling will turn very pale :o scares me so i dont use it ^^

could my 2 t5 lights support 4-5 seedlings? and how long? i will switch back to the lights today....thank you guys for helpin me cause ive been stressin cause my plant are stressing...i will continue to just using water and no nutes...god i hope my bubblelicious and white russian pull through...i payed like 15 bucks for the white russian seed
