Daily Independent Posted May 01, 2010 @ 06:00 AM Ridgecrest, Calif. — An on-going federal investigation led by the China Lake office of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service resulted in five arrests Tuesday, involving the owners of a medical marijuana dispensary located near Buttermilk Acres. "NCIS is investigating allegations of criminal activity involving the owners of a medical marijuana dispensary,” commented NCIS Public Information Officer Ed Buice in an email received Friday, “Search warrants were served at several locations and five individuals were taken into custody.” According to Buice NCIS was assisted Tuesday in their search warrant service by officers from the Ridgecrest Police Department, Kern County Sheriff’s Office, the California Highway Patrol, the California City Police Department and the Inyokern Sheriff’s Department. The efforts resulted in five arrests, confirmed RPD Chief of Police Ron Strand, three in the county and two in the city. However, “The investigation is ongoing so additional details will not be released at this time.” Bruice stated. Assisting agencies could not provide additional details of the investigation either. The incident however, seemed to raise some public ire locally. Wednesday evening a handful of residents held a rally on the corner of China Lake and E. Ridgecrest Boulevards to protest the closing of the dispensary, apparently known as B & C. Another resident, Kimmie Becker, commented on the matter during Wednesday evening’s town hall meeting as well, remarking that the dispensary in question “did everything right.” Law enforcement and society in general should be much more concerned by the effects of intense prescriptions, like OxyContin, that can cause addiction and have been known to lead to death than marijuana Becker remarked. And police are far likely to have to intervene in a fight caused by alcohol, a legal substance, than one caused by the use of marijuana she added. “There’s a social stigma for medicinal marijuana,” agreed resident Bette Baysinger Wednesday. Though, “I thought they were professional dealers personally,” Baysinger said of the dispensary. Copyright 2010 Ridgecrest Daily Independent. Some rights reserved |

There is an attempt to keep pot people as lower class citizens.
It's the old "persecution" that spawned witch burning and racism. You see some folks are raised to believe the Devil co-created the Earth so there are things that are the devil like masturbation and voting for Democrats. |

Now they are bringing in branches of the military to prosecute us??
That's a big WTF right there!! Time to make sure you have your gun permits and lock and load. Bringing the military down on citizens is insane. |
