A press release from the Aotearoa Legalise Cannabis Party in New Zealand states:

Not only will users get more medicinal value from "super-strength" cannabis, they will be able to smoke less to achieve the same high. With all the lung damage caused by cigarettes it is good to know that cannabis smokers will benefit from smaller and stronger doses.

The LD50 for cannabis is so high that it is impossible to overdose. This is due to the fact that THC is natural and non-toxic. "Super-strength" cannabis has more resin content and less leaf material, making it safer to smoke. Cannabis has been proven to have many numerous medical benefits. It provides effective relief or treatment for chronic pain, arthritis, glaucoma, cancer and related pain, eating disorders, multiple sclerosis and many other ailments.

Sativex, a cannabis based spray is now an approved medicine in New Zealand. The ALCP has endorsed the Law Commission's recommendation that patients be allowed to access raw cannabis medicine such as the "Red Devil" cannabis grown by police.

I have COPD and I can only smoke exotic high end bud...schwag makes my lungs hurt really bad but shit like ww is clean and doesn't bother my lungs at all plus I cough out all the blockages so I rarely have COPD symptoms except for when I smoke roachweed for a few days and I think the tar is the issue...but the 1st 3/4ths of the joint I am fine and it only bothers me if I put it out....I really should use my vaporizor more but I get too high cuz I feel like I am not getting anyting and am usually blasted before I realize it...lol

The NZ police grow it for research and research only at the moment. It would be a great battle won if actual Cannabis was allowed as the medicine not just the extracts.

makes perfect sense. stronger weed means you smoke less means you inhale less tar means you live longer to smoke more weed.
