my version of obbt (couple of pics)

1 drawer from deep freeze
2 square buckets that fit snug in drawer with 8 " from bottom
2 6" air stones
1 3/4" valve
1 bulk head fitting
1 40 gallon aquriam pump
misc. pipe fittings.
2'x4' furnace filter material

the bucket has a 6" hole cut in bottom with the furnace filter material completly covering the bottom of the inside. put soil mix in (i will cover soil in another post)i am running two diff. ones in this set up.6" air stone under each pot (bubbles mist thru furnace filter material to soil)took about 3 days for soil to load with water.i didnt incubate the soil before transplant i put the 'maters
in when i fill ed up res. .i have never checked ph ,i can easily look inside to see water level and easily refill with out disturbing soil.the 'mater in the dixie cup ,and the two in obbt are all clones f rom same mother and were of equal size 10 days ago.i also have some outside in big pots no where near the same production.it works i will be jumping into this more here in the next few mo.s

here are a couple of update pictures.somethings to consider are that these tomatoes were grown in probably worst conditions possible in a garage were temps have ranged from 42-65 over the last few weeks.i added 3 gallons straight tap water with a 1/4 tsp. of my fermented extract every 7 days letting soil dry for 12 hrs before restoring solution.soil is 1/3 light warrior,1/3vermiculte,1/3 happy frog, lime and happyfrog dry fert at the rates on package to preload soil.never checked water temps our ph.on top of that there has been no set lighting regimine lights go out when i leave garage.i guess the difference in my version is the ease of maintaing the lower tank and to make frequent inspections of roots.
