HELP NEEDED ASAP PLEASE!

first time out actually putting my past year of research to application...things were going absolutely fine... sprouted three days ago, healthy, green. all good. Here's where my issue comes in, since today was REALLY nice, my dumbass decided to let the babies get some natural light for the few hours i was supposed to be at work 9am-1pm... i got stuck late and didnt get home until 4:30.... they're in jiffy pots with the dome on and now they are yellow, shriveled, and just sickly looking.. i brought them back in. i assume they got too hot (almost 90 today + being in the dome prob didnt help) im just wondering if they'll rebound naturally or if i need to do something. Thanks in advance!

If they are dried out: water them. I would give them a light misting also. They are only 3 days old. Keep them inside under some CFLs for now.

However, the more I think about it the more I'm thinking that if they were in a dome in direct sunlight for that long (and the ambient temps were 90F+), the temps inside the dome (with no ventilation) must have reached 120F+ easy.

I would do the above steps but wouldn't cross my fingers. Your seedlings might be all dead.

Peace

it wasn't the heat it was the intensity of the sun. You can't just put a plant out in the sun after its gotten used to life under a bulb. They need to either be started in shade or given increasing amounts of sun over a period of days.

All you can do is rehydrate them and hope they bounce back.

Start you next seeds in a propogator indoors and keep them dark with the right humidity and temperature untill they sprout then transplant them in to 4" pots to start with.
