your plants were probably just thirsty, try to use room temp water and don't put wet plants in direct light, sun or hps will both cause burn on wet plants

Yeah you have to acclimate indoor plants SLOWLY to the bright light of the sun. Put shadecloth screens over them when they go out, until they acclimate. It's a process called hardening off. Good luck!

Good. If your plants are drooping due to underwatering then 15-30 mins after watering you will see them rise quickly. Always use water at room temp to avoid shocking the roots with cold water. |

Like baby chicks, plants bond with the first thing they see. Start them under a couple of watts and they'll believe it's the sun and build themselves accordingly. Move them outdoors, it's as though the sun went nova! They simply weren't raised to deal with the real thing. Acclimate them slowly.
On another note, taking indoor plants outdoors is a great way to introduce pests and disease to your indoor grow.
