if you forget what you planted?

or lose the label you stuck in the dirt (it blows away in the wind)
is there a way to try to identify the strain? Can you compare the leaves, stems to your other growing plants and try to figure
out which strain it is? Wait for smoke?
I assume people have this happen all the time and just smoke
whatever buds they get and give to their friends?

You can definatelly tell the difference between a sativa plant and and an indica due to leaf shape and the way they grow. You cant tell the strain you have planted unless you can remember what seeds you planted.

Here are some leaf pictures to help you out and yes it dont matter what strain you harvest as it will be good smoke when done correctly.
(good luck and happy smoking)

Thank you Ludacris for your serious and patient response.
I am trying to determine whether the "blow aways are DJ F13 orTrue Blue (DJ)
Those are the only two possibilities (at least I narrowed it down!).
The True Blue and F13 both have strong, sturdy purplish stems.
And they both smell pretty good, if you know what I mean.
Silly newbie me.

no big deal man, if they are outside, when the growth pattern emerges fully, you'll know which is which. 2 dj short varieties, outdoors, i'm jealous.

Thanks everyone. I have several F13, tru blu, Kali Mist and HAPPY to send pictures.
The leaves, coloring (purple) etc of F13 is almost IDENTICAL to true blue.
Will the high tell me? Just curious-I guess they go in the "surprise" category, but
I wish I could figure it out. For breeding purposes.
I'll put up some pics. The weather here is nice and for some reason these all
grew okay from seeds but I killed off the next 3 rounds of seeds.

Why worry whats what for now as it will all turn out good in the end.
The high you shall receive is down to your harvesting time.
(stop stressing).
(good luck).

update on the lost plant labels.
The biggest one of my mothers from seed is either F13 or True Blueberry.
When I look at my labelled TruBlu female, sje has "bluish edges"around the leaves.
The stems are identical on my known F13 and TruBlu- thick and purple striped.
Ludacris-do you have a thought on differences between F13 and TruBlu (from
seed) I might look for?
I'm going to use these as mothers and clone for bud to provide to medical patients
and would like to know.
Thanks.
