Organics vs. chem-will the quality differ?
Simple question really. If I grow organic will my potency go up or down, or will it not make a difference?
Also while on the subject: on average what's the price difference with organic vs. chemicals? |

taste flavour may have an edge in organics but that's it
on second thought floranectar from GH is great for flavour and smell

try using both, kinda overkill but best of both worlds. I run organics mainly and find it works out nice with taste and smell, but a great genetics will do that anyway. Organics imo are not as predictable and easy to work with as the chemicals but if you dont mind spending a bit more time to get it down it can work out perfect for you....in answer to potency little or no difference ive had both and you cant tell

NPK's and such are the exact same no matter what form they are in they both get broken down and used by the plant in the exact same manner.
You can't deny science! Have you ever seen the organic Vs Chemical taste test where the people blind tested and 99% all said the chemical foods tasted better and had more flavor everyone believed the better tasting food was organic and it was chemical. Then on the Penn and teller show they cut a chemical grown banana in half then told the people that one was organic and one was chemical and the people swore to all hell in back that one of the bananas tasted better then the other and that it was the organic banana. When they told them the whole banana was all chemical just cut in half they where speechless. To each his own! Too me organic is just a way to pay triple the money for the same chemical results. But Organic to some people is like a religious belief no matter how bogus they will not budge in there faith, so be faithful and prosper and no matter what you choose best of luck !

What gives you a more rewarding experience?
Living in a mobile home, with linoleum, cheap carpet and plain trim or...... A stone mansion, with tile and marble floors, fireplaces, gold plated faucets and richly trimmed with exquisite hardwoods? Chem ferts just don't provide all the tiny little itty bitty extras that you find in soil. They do a great job though, when used properly. ![]() Stay Safe!

In my experience If you want to get great yield and potency from organics you have to plan ahead with a good soil packed with nutrients. Plus you might want to use compost tea. If you don't build your soil correctly you will have to deal with deficiencies, and in organics it is not as easy to correct them with compost teas then fast acting minerals salts. As far as price goes. If you go and buy raw organic ingredients for a super soil that is probably the cheapest way to go. You can make soils that last up to 30 to possibly 60 days(maybe a few EWC, kelp, molasses teas) so you only have to water for that time, then you can just add some guano tea with molasses (bubble for 24-72 hours) for the rest of the day until a 2 week flush. I personally beleive that is much cheaper then buying nutrients, but alas nutrients are fast acting and predictable.
