Grat3fulh3ad's Gumblebum
Gumblebum is BOG's Sour Bubble X G13bx. It was one of Head's first offerings and i was a little skeptical. Ultimately, I bought this on seedbay because I wanted to try Sour Bubble and didn't want to pay so much for them-- I figured I could still use some practice growing. I also figured I'd get something close in the cross for $30 less. What I got was the best smoke I have ever had. The growing... I got 4 females out of 8 fairly uniform. some get really purple, some don't. All of it has massive crystal production and stinks to high heaven-- it will overpower the formidable Vaportek 4000 with the greatest ease. I had three different phenos: two i called pretty purple; one looked the spitting image of BOG's sour bubble; and the one that I like the best I call Bryant (get it Bryant Gumble). It does not purple at all. It is a monstrous, branchng strain that nearly out grew my small chamber and had to be tied all over the place. The buds are slightly fluffy not as dense as the phenotype that looks like SourBubble. After a one month cure, It smells like Teaberry Gum with a little lemon in the mix. It is smooth smoking and has two faces... You would think that this stuff would plant your ass firmly in the couch all of the strains are motivational and contemplative. So the two faces... Hit this stuff twice and you are good to go. Thoughts are clear and run like a river. When I shared some with a close friend we ended up talking about the ramifications of a polar shift and sat on my backporch for three hours wide-eyed and locked in conversation. Hit this stuff two more times or more (seasoned heads and brave folks) and everything changes, It is still up but never racey... clear but psychedelic. Colors are vivid, contrast intensifies and thoughts grow abstract. It is for adventurers. I am notorious cougher and don't really like putting any smoke in my lungs but i don't mind the Gumblebum just don't get overzealous... the smoke is smooth. Even though it is up, it is by no means daytime smoke like say a nice lemony sour diesel or a good mellow blueberry. This is some serious creative weed for seeing a great band or to share with good understanding friends. i don't know if Head has anymore of this sitting around but let's hope he does it's worth digging through and heading out on the quest. take care rabid peach

thanks for reading boz and chuck. i kept up with the fourplay threads over in Head's sub-sub forum. That stuff looks like fun to grow. i was really trying to stick with a more indica strain this go round as they seem easier to grow. the gumblebum was a breeze.
boz that sour diesel X G13 should be absolutely killer. put a thread up-- i'd like to see that one. Unfortunately, Head says he is not going to release anymore of these he may keep what he has and stabilize it a bit more. fortunately i had a light leak and a couple of branches selfed!

Great Report RP... And hopefully I'll be able to have some new Gumblebum ready for seedbay by april or may... And work with the strain will continue, so thats something else to look forward to... Those S1 seeds you have should prove an interesting grow, as well...

First off that was an excellent report, well written with all pertaint details. Second nice grow, I see much success in those buds. You've done a great job (I'll be needing some advice later).
Third Thanks for showing off Greatful's cross, he sounds like a fine breeder that uses prime strains. I'll keep my eye on you G!RP, I look foward to whatever you grow next. |

btw, i *really* have to agree with rp's "thoughts are clear and run like a river" comment. i was with some friends last night and we ended up blazin' up some of rp's gumblebum. on previous occasions, i've been with them and we've fired up some everyday type weed and it was the usual mind-numbing, almost lethargic kind of high. not unpleasant, mind you, just that typical kind of high where you have that on-the-outside-looking-in kinda sensation goin' on. does that make sense? but, gumblebum had everyone - me included - hyper-aware and very talkative. *this* is a very urbane smoke. /tip hat |

smokey- thanks for the props, but i think it will be a cold day in the hot place when i could give you any advice on growing. you are the man.
mellow- i am glad we got to hook up. and i am glad that you have enjoyed my little girls. thats what happens when you grow your own. you get organic and well flushed smoke that has a lot of love in it. its a different way of walking. the tip of the hat should got to Head for putting to fine plants together. and all the people like Head, the Ms., Smokey, and Zep that helped me out when i ran into problems. grow and learn rp

Nicely done Rabid Peach.
Looks like a good strain.I've grown both seperately but I never thought about crossing them. JLP |
