hi i planted some seeding into straight dirt (promix), some into jiffy7

they have been under 400w mh, feed them just tap water. ph around 7. and maybe just a mist water with superthrive.
but some leaves look like they are burnt.

im thinking it might be too weak for the 400w, (i dont have a t5)

want to get some feedback from you experts and suggestions

Its kinda hard to tell what is going on with those pictures. It looks like the damage is on the middle of the leaves, is that correct? If you could take a picture outside of the cab under some more natural light we might be able to identify it better.

One thing it could be is light burn. But its happening when you mist them under the light. The drops of water act like a magnifying glass, that could explain why the burn is not on the leaf tips.

That's from the Superthrive. I forget what the mixing instructions are but if it says one drop per gallon, that's all it takes. I've got those spots using as recommended and quit using ST completely.

really?? i was told that you drip it in ST for 30mins when cloning too..
and i add so little to it. one drop in 3 gallon
thats weird cuz only these 2 out of 8 has burn marks on them, all the other ones seems ok

ST is a root stimulant but only after you have roots. One drop per 3 gal shouldn't be too much unless your dropper is big. You need something like Clonex or Rootone for cuts.

I used one drop ST per gallon and got the same spotting on the fans so I quit using it.

BTW, your seedlings don't need ferts for the first two weeks on average. ST isn't fertilizer, it's a root stimulant in small doses that acts like a defoliant in larger doses.

ST has been around forever and some swear by it. Unfortunately I had bad results and decided it's not for me. Best wishes if you continue using.

hmm.. ill just stop using anything but water and see how you will react for the next 2 weeks then. the seeding is still so young right now i dont even think it has roots coming out of the jiffy yet. but the soil is drying every 2-3 days, and i keep thinking its the humidity in the room that soaks up the water from the soil.

i thought it was too close to the light due to a 400w mh. and got light burnt.

i will switch it to a t5 next week. is that going to shock them by switching from a mh to a t5 light?

but dirt it can be a bit higher.. ?

when i add nutts to the water it brings it down to 6-7 ph
