Brown tips, what do i do?
I have a problem with my plants they are developing brown tips on most of the bottom and middle leaves. The pictures below show the damage. Not sure if this is a light or nutrient issue, and i have lowered the nutrient level by half and have seen no change.

that doesnt look that bad iv had amazing product come from plants way worse than that but that doesnt mean theres nothing wrong.. to me it looks like too much neuts if youv droped em it will take a min for it to stop. they might be locked? could be a few things but id start with fresh water 0ppm and a flush clearex or something circulate till ur ppm stops rising 20 30 min maybe and start with some new water.
ru topping off ur resv as it drops? and what is ur ppm? have u been increasing ur neuts? id try what i said first and start off with about 100ppm lower than what u where runnin and see how it goes u should be fine |

Either way, the tips are going to stay burnt. A plant will green back up if its been underfed, but if you burn it, that damage will stay. Though its not a big deal and won't effect the end product noticeably. If the new growth is not showing the same damage, you have probably fixed the problem. Just be careful with overfeeding in the future.

Yeah, we have so far changed the water and dropped the nutrients from 950 to 550. We check and adjust the PH and nutes every day. So far no new burnt tips.
How do you know when you can increase the nutrient dosage, do you slowly increase till they show a brown tip or two?? Originally we were just following GH schedule. Different person, same grow. |

Measure and chart EC and pH daily. Over a few days you'll see the numbers changing. Because nutes are acidic, EC and pH move in opposite directions (more acid means lower pH) EC up, pH down is too rich. EC down, pH up is too lean. EC flat, pH flat should be avoided as no one pH reading allows full absorption of all nutes. A small swing, 5.6-6.0, is good for you. Start with 1/2 the bottles recommended dosage and see what your plants have to say about it.
